Description

The company runs a digital sports platform spanning sports commerce, collectibles, and a betting and gaming product that is still being built, including a Sportsbook and iGaming platform.

Collect is a marketplace and platform for physical and digital collectibles that combines shopping, editorial content, and a collector community.

The Client Platform Team builds shared client infrastructure, developer tooling, observability, release systems, and cross-platform standards for the company's two client apps on iOS, Android, and Web, so product teams can ship faster and more safely.

Product teams keep ownership of feature delivery and quality in their areas. This team focuses on consistency, visibility, reliability, and engineering practices across the organization.

You will lead this team as an engineering manager, spending most of your time on people and execution while staying close enough to the technical work to weigh in on architecture, debugging, and development practices.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coach, and grow engineers across iOS, Android, and Web
  • Set clear priorities, expectations, ownership boundaries, and success measures for the team
  • Lead platform work on developer productivity, release reliability, observability, shared tooling, and overall client health
  • Drive delivery of initiatives that improve developer workflows, release safety, monitoring, and client quality
  • Work with Product, Design, Engineering, QA, SRE and Infrastructure on planning, sequencing, and delivery
  • Align with engineering leadership on how to balance reliability, productivity, observability, and modernization work against product commitments
  • Raise the bar on release readiness, CI/CD health, pull request validation, automated testing, and follow-through after incidents
  • Build and maintain dashboards, alerts, logs, and operational workflows that show how critical client experiences are performing
  • Coordinate with client teams on shared architecture, framework adoption, dependency health, and consistency across platforms
  • Introduce and scale AI-assisted engineering workflows, covering tooling, documentation, test support, code review assistance, and developer enablement
  • Stay involved in architecture reviews, operational reviews, and quality practices, while letting engineers own implementation decisions
  • Help with hiring, onboarding, and growing the team, and build a culture of ownership, learning, and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Required: 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Required: 2+ years of experience managing and developing engineers
  • Required: Experience leading client platform, frontend, mobile, or cross-platform teams spanning iOS, Android, and or Web
  • Required: Sound judgment on delivery, quality, architecture, performance, reliability, and trade-offs
  • Required: Experience raising release quality, observability, developer productivity, CI/CD health, or platform reliability through engineering systems and operating practices
  • Required: Ability to lead across several product and engineering teams without direct authority
  • Preferred: Experience with consumer-facing, marketplace, commerce, live, or real-time products
  • Preferred: Experience in high-growth or fast-moving environments
  • Preferred: Hands-on familiarity with modern client observability, performance monitoring, CI/CD, automated testing, and release management
  • Preferred: Experience implementing or scaling AI-assisted engineering workflows and developer productivity tooling
