Engineering Lead Analyst - VP

Description

This is a senior engineering role that leads work across the design, procurement and rollout of hardware, software and network infrastructure, in step with the Technology team.

The main goal is to make sure quality standards are met within current and planned frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Act as the go-to technology expert for internal and external stakeholders.
• Direct the technology side of all firm-mandated controls and compliance work, and lead every project in the group.
• Build and maintain a technology domain roadmap.
• Make sure every function integration supports business goals.
• Specify system enhancements needed to launch new products and improve processes.
• Propose product customizations for system integration.
• Pinpoint the cause, business impact and root cause of problems.
• Understand how your specialty supports the business, and track competitors, products and services.
• Coach and advise junior team members.
• Shape engineering decisions through advice, counsel and facilitation.
• Weigh risk in business decisions with close attention to the firm's reputation and to protecting the company, its clients and its assets. Drive compliance with laws, rules, regulations and policy, apply sound ethical judgment, and escalate, manage and report control issues openly.

Requirements

• Recommended: 13+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Recommended: strong skill in at least one object-oriented backend language, with Python or Java preferred.
• Recommended: clear, concise spoken and written communication, so your ideas need no follow-up questions.
• Recommended: ability to use AI well to contribute to code and design.
• Recommended: working knowledge of databases, networking, REST APIs and CLI tools.
• Recommended: hands-on work with CI/CD tools and containerization such as Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Recommended: experience in financial services or in a large, complex or global environment.
• Recommended: project management experience.
• Recommended: deep knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools and benchmarking, and the reporting used to identify best practices.
• Recommended: strong analytical and diagnostic skills.
• Recommended: ability to work in a matrix and partner with virtual teams.
• Recommended: ability to work independently, set priorities and take ownership of parts of a project or initiative.
• Recommended: ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines when expectations or requirements shift.
• Recommended: proven record of driving operational process change and improvement.
• Recommended: bachelor's degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.
• Preferred: master's degree.

Conditions

Full-time position.

Salary range for the primary location: $120,800.00 - $170,800.00.
