Energy & Utilities Project / Program Manager

Description

You would join the energy and utilities consulting team as a project or program manager. The team values people who build relationships and deliver results, and it looks for a proven record on mid to large scale digital projects.

Its consulting unit has 450 consultants across France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium and Morocco. It works through five offerings: CIO Advisory, Sustainability, Data & GenAI, Transformation & Change, and Corporate Functions Advisory.

The group has grown steadily for over 30 years. It now focuses on four core businesses: consulting, infrastructure and application management, software implementation, and its own software publishing.

The group partners with Salesforce, ServiceNow, Microsoft and SAP, and aims to reach Europe's top 5 in those technologies through acquisitions.

The consulting unit takes a sector-specific approach, combining innovation and technology to help clients reach sustainable performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the start, definition and delivery of a program for one client in energy and utilities.
• Design the program roadmap and make sure it is delivered.
• Supervise a group of experienced project managers.
• Track progress against program objectives and check they still match the client's strategy.
• Report program progress to business management.
• Monitor program KPIs and budget.
• Manage program risks.
• Make sure the core team works well together.
• As assignments develop, take on project lead roles and help grow the consulting unit through knowledge sharing, new offers, and talks and publications.

Requirements

• Master's degree in engineering or business.
• 5+ years managing complex programs.
• Experience in the energy and utilities sector.
• Experience in Asset Management and GIS is a plus.
• Proven use of one or more project management methods, such as PRINCE2 or PMBOK.
• Strong leadership, with the ability to bring structure and stay calm.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management, including leading project teams and engaging senior client stakeholders.
• Entrepreneurial, willing to collaborate and grow within the consulting business line.
• Fluent English and fluent Dutch or French. Professional working proficiency in the other language is a strong asset.
