Description

Have you worked in program management or customer service and want to grow into new areas? The A220 commercial aircraft program is hiring a Structures Program Manager.

The role sits in the Fleet Efficiency team in Mirabel, Quebec, Canada, and works alongside the Customer Services organization to support A220 operators.

Fleet Efficiency keeps the in-service A220 fleet operating safely and economically. The team is set up so people can work across groups on their own initiative, support one another and learn together.

Mirabel is in the greater Montreal area, a short distance from the city. The region suits young and experienced professionals and families, with a good balance of career opportunities and outdoor activities.

Responsibilities

  • Speak for Fleet Efficiency in supplier program reviews, raising risks and issues and bringing forward the priorities of Customer Services.
  • Take an active part in change governance for the A220 program and lead MISP and SISP projects (in-service problems classed as major or significant) from start to finish.
  • Anticipate what A220 operators will need and start projects early. Lead these initiatives or act as a key stakeholder on behalf of Fleet Efficiency.
  • Contribute to analysis of major in-service events and the proposed solutions. Build mitigation and solution embodiment plans and, with support from ISE and Flight Operations, define the customer communication plan (TFU, AOT, OEB, webinars).
  • Make sure the Customer Services impacts and required deliverables are known and understood for every proposed aircraft modification.
  • Define and prepare the implementation strategy (SB policy, embodiment campaigns) so that all stakeholders can validate it at the Change Control Board (CCB).
  • Track corrective actions and improvements through Service Bulletins (SB) and Vendor Service Bulletins (VSB), and keep operator communication on track.
  • Identify MISP candidates. Once a MISP is launched, act as end-to-end project lead and deliver a technically and economically sound solution within a timeline and cost that match company objectives.
  • Update working tools (TFU, CRISP) weekly and report status, risks and opportunities to the organization monthly.
  • Support recurring fleet performance analysis (operational reliability, unplanned technical grounding, maintenance costs and more). Spot gaps against targets and launch mitigation, improvement or recovery actions.
  • Keep an overview of all major structures and cabin issues and advise the organization on prioritization, possible mitigations, in-service strategies and commercial policies.
  • Stay in close contact with assigned customers as their focal point for in-service program and fleet performance. Raise program issues and share the latest developments.
  • Organize fleet review meetings and take part in Technical Review Meetings (FRM) for assigned customers.
  • Act as Fleet Efficiency's focal point in internal change management governance and in the multiple IPTs for structures initiatives.

Requirements

  • Hold an aerospace engineering degree or an equivalent qualification.
  • Have at least ten (10) years of experience in engineering, aircraft operations and/or customer services.
  • Have experience interacting with customers. Be customer focused and act with integrity at all times, without compromise.
  • Combine a strong sense of business and finance with a strategic outlook.
  • Have managed multi-disciplinary projects and present well.
  • Be advanced in English and French. English is required because you will deal with group entities, suppliers and customers worldwide.
  • Have worked in high-performing teams in a fast-moving setting where priorities change often.
  • Have good knowledge of the aerospace industry and of TCCA, FAA and EASA regulations.
  • Care about developing people and value every team member's input.
  • Be aware of potential compliance risks and commit to acting with integrity.

Conditions

Permanent contract at professional level, in the Customer Account and Service Management job family.

Based in Mirabel, Quebec, Canada, with hybrid work arrangements.

Business travel may be required, including trips worldwide.

All applications are welcome regardless of background, age, gender, disability, sexual orientation or religion, and the company never asks candidates for payment during recruitment.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary, annual bonus, group insurance, pension plan and share purchase plan.
  • Highly competitive holiday policy and an on-site cafeteria.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP), a discount program and medical service on site.
  • Access to more than 10,000 e-learning courses, plus certifications, accelerated development programmes and mobility within the country and abroad.
  • Upskilling and development opportunities to grow your employability.
