Responsibilities

  • You will set the direction for performance marketing and paid media spend, aiming to grow customer acquisition, revenue, and brand awareness across a widening set of channels.
  • You will work with the Senior Director of Growth Marketing to expand an existing acquisition engine and build an in-house center of excellence for performance and brand media buying. You will also lead a growing group of performance marketers.
  • You will own the strategy and financial results of the media budget, weighing near-term revenue against long-term demand creation.
  • The company received significant growth investment after Capital One acquired it. That gives you room to shape a fast-growing media budget, test emerging channels more often, and build stronger measurement.
  • You will own paid media strategy and spending across Brand and Growth. You will answer for qualified pipeline, self-serve signups, and the revenue they generate. Brand sets campaign vision and brand KPIs, and you turn those into full-funnel media plans.
  • You will manage and improve a growing budget worth several million dollars, balancing acquisition volume, LTV, and incremental revenue.
  • You will build an in-house digital media center of excellence, moving brand media buying away from a traditional agency model while using platforms and managed services where they make sense.
  • You will grow paid search and paid social on LinkedIn and Meta. You will also increase spend on YouTube, connected TV, programmatic, and other upper-funnel channels.
  • You will design a full-funnel investment strategy that links demand creation and brand awareness to acquisition, pipeline, and revenue.
  • You will work with Marketing Operations, Data, and Finance to improve measurement, forecasting, budget pacing, and how spend is allocated across channels.
  • You will turn existing attribution and customer journey data into insights, and build reports and analysis that guide media strategy and optimization.
  • You will run fast tests across channels, audiences, and creative. You will restructure campaigns that underperform and scale the ones that work.
  • You will work with Brand and Creative teams on static and video ads, giving clear feedback on messaging, formats, and creative performance.
  • You will lead and develop the performance marketing team. You will set clear ownership, build repeatable execution practices, and use AI-enabled workflows to get more output from the team.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in performance marketing, paid acquisition, or digital media, including scaling multichannel advertising programs.
  • Hands-on experience managing at least $30M in annual paid media spend (about $3M a month), with measurable effects on customer acquisition and revenue growth.
  • Deep knowledge of acquisition economics, including LTV, ROI, incremental revenue, and optimizing for revenue.
  • A track record of building full-funnel media strategies that tie upper-funnel brand spend to measurable gains in demand, conversion, and revenue.
  • Deep hands-on experience with online video, connected TV, programmatic, and brand media, plus strong paid social experience on LinkedIn and Meta. Working knowledge of paid search.
  • Strong financial skills, including owning a budget, forecasting, modeling investment, and allocating spend across channels based on data.
  • Strong analytical judgment, with experience turning attribution, customer journey, and campaign performance data into investment decisions.
  • A proven ability to assess and improve campaign structure, channel strategy, and creative performance through rigorous testing and quick iteration.
  • Strong creative judgment, with experience working with Brand and Design teams on performance-focused static and video ads.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams. You lead hands-on and can scale execution without adding unnecessary organizational complexity.
  • A curious, action-oriented approach to problems. You challenge existing strategies, make decisions with incomplete information, and move quickly.
  • Bonus points: experience scaling performance marketing in high-volume B2C or product-led growth (PLG) settings, as well as B2B, sales-led businesses.
  • Bonus points: experience moving media buying from an agency-led model to an in-house team, including evaluating managed-service partners.
  • Bonus points: experience building incrementality testing, media mix modeling, or advanced full-funnel measurement frameworks.
  • Bonus points: experience in fintech, financial services, or high-growth technology companies.
  • Bonus points: experience using AI and automation to improve media execution, analysis, and team productivity.
