Description

At Stark, we forge the future of European and national security through cutting-edge, AI-driven technology and unmatched engineering precision. As a premier defence technology company, our mission is clear: to equip NATO Allies and their partners with next-generation autonomous defence platforms and advanced AI-driven software built to perform in the world’s most demanding environments.

We believe that true security stems from relentless innovation. By combining elite engineering talent with agile technology and an AI-native operational culture, Stark turns complex defence challenges into field-tested, multi-domain solutions.

The Infrastructure and DevSecOps team builds the backbone of Stark's software platforms and cloud infrastructure. Working closely with core software and security engineering teams, we embed security into every stage of the development lifecycle while maintaining rapid delivery cycles.

YOUR MISSION

As an Infra & DevSecOps Engineer, you will design, deploy, and maintain robust infrastructure and automated CI/CD pipelines to support our defense technology platforms. You will integrate strict security standards, compliance checks, and proactive monitoring across multi-cloud and on-premise environments.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tooling such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Design and automate secure CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment of autonomous software platforms and services.
  • Implement automated security testing, vulnerability scanning, and compliance controls into the software development lifecycle.
  • Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters, containerized workloads, and service meshes across hybrid environments.
  • Establish comprehensive monitoring, logging, and observability frameworks to ensure high availability and incident response preparedness.
  • Collaborate with development and security teams to enforce security best practices, access management, and zero-trust architecture.
  • WHAT YOU BRING TO THE MISSION
  • Proven professional experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
  • Strong expertise with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Hands-on experience embedding DevSecOps practices, SAST/DAST tooling, and security compliance into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), network security, and IAM principles.

Requirements

  • Experience with air-gapped or on-premise high-security environment deployments.
  • Relevant certifications in cloud engineering or security (e.g., CKS, CKA, AWS Certified Security Specialist).
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001, SOC 2, or defense sector security compliance standards.
  • If you're interested in building the future of European Defence with us, and you see yourself reflected on the description above, please send us your CV in English . We're looking forward to meeting you!
  • SECURITY CLEARANCE
  • Due to the nature of our work in the defence sector, candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance required for this position. Details will be provided during the recruitment process.

Benefits

  • The software and systems you work on directly protect personnel and defend European and national sovereignty.
  • You will work alongside industry-leading minds on autonomous systems, advanced propulsion, and secure cyber platforms.
  • We foster a fast-paced, collaborative environment where bold ideas are supported by serious R&D backing.
