DevOps Middleware Infra Engineer - Assistant Vice President

Description

This intermediate-level role supports LAN and WAN work and help desk administration, including network maintenance, technical guidance and security, in step with the Technology Infrastructure team.

You will apply infrastructure knowledge and set policies to process data, fix issues and carry out administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Deploy IBM WAS ND, Tibco, MQ, Kafka, IHS, Apache, WebLogic and Tomcat on IaaS.
• Work in depth with Kubernetes.
• Containerize Java, Python, Node.js, Nginx, PEGA, Redis and Spark workloads on Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Analyse traffic patterns for ingress, egress and hot-hot cross data center setups.
• Lead root cause analysis once service is restored.
• Explain solutions on a whiteboard to customers.
• Review requirement documents, define hardware needs, and update processes and procedures where needed.
• Set technical and strategic direction, and advise and coach less senior analysts.
• Build projects that define metrics, analytical tools, benchmarks and best practices.
• Own the overall operating system applications.
• Shape technical direction and strategic decisions.
• Act as subject matter expert for senior stakeholders and team members.
• Assess risk in business decisions with care for the firm's reputation and for Citigroup, its clients and assets. Drive compliance with laws, rules, regulations and Policy, use sound ethical judgment, and escalate, manage and report control issues openly.

Requirements

• 12 years of experience delivering infrastructure technologies, with a proven record of delivering OpenShift containerization, middleware infrastructure, CI-CD pipelines, virtualization, load balancers and database services as solutions.
• Explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Work with virtual and in-person teams, including under pressure or to a deadline.
• Experience in financial services and in large, complex, global environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Strong analytical and diagnostic skills.
• Willing to learn and to work as a team player, bringing a positive technology culture.
• Operate with limited direct supervision, using independent judgment and autonomy.
• Bachelor's or university degree, or equivalent experience.

Primary full-time salary range is $107,120.00 - $160,680.00.
