Description

The firm is built on positive relationships with its people and clients, and it has a people-first culture with real focus on personal and professional growth.

This is a new role in the data team that combines deep Databricks and Azure technical skill with client work and partner collaboration.

You will help clients plan their data, analytics and AI strategies while building trusted relationships with Databricks and Microsoft counterparts on co-innovation, joint solutions and go-to-market work.

Beyond architecture, you will find and move forward new client opportunities using partner programs, co-sell motions and your industry knowledge, driving measurable growth for the firm and its clients.

This is not a traditional hands-on delivery role. You will sit where architecture, partnerships and business impact meet, speaking at industry events, building thought leadership and shaping enterprise clients' data modernization.

Responsibilities

  • Build and keep trusted relationships with client technical and business stakeholders, advising them on Databricks and Azure data platform initiatives.
  • Act as the firm's main contact for Databricks field teams, covering joint account planning, co-selling and go-to-market alignment.
  • Represent the firm at Databricks and Microsoft events, summits and conferences to raise its profile and strengthen partner ties.
  • Work with account teams to find new opportunities at existing and prospective clients, matching Databricks capabilities to their transformation goals.
  • Spot chances for platform adoption and help position the firm as a preferred implementation and advisory partner in the Databricks ecosystem.
  • Work with sales and marketing on offerings, proposals and pursuits that fit growth targets and partner incentives.
  • Support pre-sales work, proposal writing and executive briefings.
  • Lead solution design for large, enterprise-grade Databricks and Azure data platforms, covering ingestion, transformation, governance and AI/ML integration.
  • Design scalable architectures using Databricks (Delta Lake, MLflow, Unity Catalog, Spark) and Azure services (Data Lake, Synapse, Data Factory, DevOps).
  • Work with clients to plan cloud migration and modernization that matches their business and data goals.
  • Share thinking on Databricks best practices, data mesh, data governance and production-grade ML engineering.
  • Guide delivery teams on architecture patterns, optimization and implementation quality.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of Databricks opportunities through proactive contact with clients, partners and internal teams.
  • Turn technical capabilities into business value propositions that speak to client executives.
  • Work with Databricks and Microsoft Partner Development Managers (PDMs) to find joint pursuits and co-marketing initiatives.
  • Track partner metrics and success stories to show joint business impact and strengthen the firm's standing as a top-tier Databricks partner.
  • Help internal teams use alliance incentives and partner programs to speed up go-to-market results.
  • Present the firm's Data & AI capabilities at industry forums, webinars and events to build visibility for client acquisition and partnerships.
  • Co-develop reference architectures, accelerators and industry playbooks with Databricks and Microsoft.
  • Track trends in AI, MLOps, LLMs and data governance to inform solution strategy.
  • Mentor junior architects and engineers within the Data & AI practice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering or a related field.
  • 7+ years in data engineering, analytics or architecture, including 3+ years designing or implementing Databricks solutions.
  • Expert knowledge of Databricks (Delta Lake, Apache Spark, MLflow, Unity Catalog) and Azure (Data Lake, Data Factory, Synapse, DevOps).
  • Proven ability to turn complex business problems into practical data platform architectures.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a record of engaging executives and influencing decision-makers.
  • Strong consulting judgment, balancing technical quality with business context and client value.
  • Preferred / Assets: hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP Databricks environments.
  • Preferred / Assets: familiarity with AI/ML, MLOps and data governance frameworks.
  • Preferred / Assets: professional certifications such as Databricks Certified Data Engineer, Databricks Certified Solution Architect, Microsoft Azure Data Engineer, or similar.
  • Preferred / Assets: experience working with or for major cloud or data platform partners (e.g., Microsoft, Databricks, Snowflake).
  • Preferred / Assets: exposure to co-sell or joint go-to-market models with technology partners.
