You would join a machine learning research and development group.

Responsibilities

• Support machine learning research and project teams and development teams on all AI algorithm matters.
• Design and build new machine learning algorithms that work on real data.
• Apply recent research findings to practical problems to create business value.
• Make sure AI algorithms are explainable and ethically sound.
• Propose ways to extend what machine learning can do with real data.
• Learn and implement the newest machine learning algorithms and methods.
• Maintain performance and scalability by working closely with development teams.
• Grasp business problems from start to finish and stay current on research.
• Help gather requirements and coordinate machine learning development.
• Present the relevance of delivered systems and results in a clear, consistent visual format.
• Take initiative to find new machine learning use cases and applications.

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, plus five years of progressive experience after the degree in this job or a related occupation.
• Or hold a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, plus three years of experience in this job or a related occupation.
• Have two years of experience with heterogeneous knowledge graphs for machine learning use cases.
• Have two years of experience building graph-based ML models such as GraphSAGE, GAT, or Graph Transformers.
• Have two years of experience with cloud-based ML development platforms such as Azure ML and Databricks.
• Have two years of experience fine-tuning large language models (LLMs) within Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.
• Have two years of AI/ML research experience, including published papers.
• Have one year of experience developing and deploying legacy supervised learning models, using methods such as XGBoost.
• Have one year of exposure to multi-agent orchestration frameworks and workflows.

Conditions

The role follows a hybrid work model.

The location is Palo Alto, CA.

No travel is required.

The annual base salary range is $174,783 to $206,460.

The targeted combined range, including base salary and variable incentive target, is $174,783 to $229,400.

The final offer falls within that range and depends on factors such as education, skills, experience, scope of the role, and location, as decided during selection.
