Data Scientist Marketing

Description

The company runs paid marketing campaigns on predictions of which new users will become valuable, and this role keeps those predictions accurate.

You will own the machine learning models that estimate the value of each newly verified user and pass that estimate to Google Ads, so campaigns can find more users like the valuable ones.

Weak models mean wasted spend. AI tools can help you write and debug code, but they cannot build a model or confirm its output is reliable, so that judgment rests with you.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and extend the predictive marketing models from first idea through to production, starting with models that estimate each new user's value over their first 90 days.
• Reach a Spearman rank correlation of 0.50 or higher and a binary model AUC of 0.75 or higher within 9 months.
• Keep the models running in production, watch data and model health, and identify where intervention is needed.
• Use Claude Code to speed up your work and check everything it produces.

Requirements

• You have built predictive models with traditional machine learning methods such as XGBoost.
• You write Python and have built the data pipelines a model needs, including where none existed before.
• You have deployed ML models to production and kept them running over time.
• You have analysed data and model health in depth to locate problems that need fixing.
• You use AI tools such as Claude Code daily and understand their limits.

Conditions

Hybrid work: after your first 3 months in the office, you work 3 days in the office and 2 days remote each week.

After your first year, you can work while travelling for up to 20 days per year.

The team is international.
