The company builds and maintains artificial intelligence software and systems for its products, and this role sits in the Metrology and Analysis Systems Division (MAD).
The title offered will be Data Scientist I or Data Scientist II, based on your skills, abilities, knowledge, training, experience and education.
The job is listed with job ID R0128931, was posted on 2026-05-01, and falls under Data Analytics/Business Intelligence.
Responsibilities
Write algorithms in machine learning, statistical modelling, neural networks and pattern recognition, starting from data exploration, and build them yourself.
Build, train and deploy machine learning models for time-series forecasting, anomaly detection, classification and regression on tabular and sensor data, predictive maintenance and failure prediction.
Design complete machine learning pipelines covering data ingestion, feature engineering, training, evaluation and deployment.
Lead or support root cause analysis (RCA) investigations using data-driven methods.
Build frameworks for fault tree analysis (FTA) and for identifying failure modes.
Work with engineering and operations experts to turn failure patterns into machine learning features and models.
Design and build agentic AI systems that reason on their own over structured and unstructured data, use tools such as query engines, APIs and analytics pipelines, and make multi-step decisions in diagnostic workflows.
Implement LLM-based systems that include tool-calling frameworks, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and structured outputs with validation pipelines.
Work with data engineers, software engineers and domain experts on shared projects.
Build scalable, production-ready solutions with Python ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch and Scikit-learn, and with data tools such as Pandas, Spark and SQL.
Deploy models and services through REST APIs (FastAPI, Flask) and containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
Use modern data platforms, including time-series databases (Prometheus, InfluxDB), analytical databases (ClickHouse, PostgreSQL) and vector databases (Qdrant, FAISS).
Turn business problems into technical solutions.
Independently create architecture and complex designs and document them.
Integrate and test software to confirm it meets specifications, and write functional specifications.
Take part in design, code and test reviews, and run functional tests.
Take on other duties as needed.
