Data Science Program Lead I - Neurology

Description

The company's Clinical Data Strategy and Operations (CDSO) group brings people, processes and technology together to turn clinical trial data into business value. The role helps the group deliver on the program and study goals set for CDSO.

The company develops medicines across immunology, oncology and neuroscience.

Responsibilities

• Align CDSO study teams with program and study strategies.
• Lead the CDSO study team on assigned studies and represent data science on the cross-functional study team.
• Serve as the single point of contact and accountable operational lead from data science services on assigned studies, coordinating the related DSS teams toward operational goals.
• Engage and connect global functional and cross-functional teams.
• Influence cross-functional colleagues to meet program and study objectives, even without direct authority over them.
• Use operational analytics and project management tools to improve execution, manage internal and external resources, track progress and write status reports.
• Spot issues that could affect timelines or quality early, and propose options and fixes.
• Make sure work follows federal and local regulations, Good Clinical Practices, ICH Guidelines, company SOPs and functional quality standards. Keep up with changing local rules, guidelines and policies on clinical development.
• Help oversee vendors and give feedback on study operations, problems and performance trends.
• Coach and mentor Data Science Associates. You may indirectly supervise contract resources.
• Take part in CDSO and cross-functional innovation and process improvement work.
• Share lessons learned from study execution across functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, management information systems, computer science, life sciences or an equivalent field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• PMP certification or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt desired.
• At least 3 years of experience in pharma, clinical research, data management or health care, or at least 5 years of project management experience, and/or other relevant work experience.
• Strong understanding of the clinical trial process and clinical technology.
• Experience managing a clinical trial from start to finish preferred.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Proven ability to influence others without direct authority.
• Proven communication skills.
• Proven analytical skills.

Base pay range is shared only where state or local law requires pay disclosure. The range reflects the company's good-faith expectation at posting, depends on factors such as location, and may change.

Incentive amounts, availability and any other pay or benefits are at the company's sole discretion, may change within the law, and are not earned until paid.

This role is eligible for short-term incentive programs.
