Description

Your team is Platform Engineering. It keeps the company's engineering teams running smoothly so they can build and ship code quickly and with confidence.

The team's work covers data, machine learning, incident and risk management, hardware and system efficiency.

The company is a global technology company that helps people and businesses send, spend, and manage money across borders.

Responsibilities

  • You will take on the Lead Data Analyst or Analytics Manager role in the Platform Engineering and Security team, where you will shape how data is used to manage security and risk.
  • You will build reliable data pipelines that feed continuous control monitoring and turn what they reveal into strategic opportunities, all within the company's secure and compliant framework.
  • Regulatory compliance depends on how complete and effective the controls are. You will show that the security posture is clearly defined, well understood and strong.
  • You will maintain existing controls and check that they work, and you will also work with teams to expand control coverage.
  • You will manage one or two analysts and help set the data strategy for the Risk pillar, working closely with colleagues across the team.
  • You will scale and improve the risk data infrastructure so global teams can break down metrics at a granular level and find and reduce risk drivers early.
  • You will build metrics that track whether controls perform as required and support control testing.
  • You will create control efficiency frameworks that show whether controls reduce risk without holding back growth.
  • You will work with product, engineering, product risk, compliance and other cross-functional stakeholders to guide global controls and risk decisions with data.
  • You will work closely with Security and Cyber Security to make sure local and infrastructure risk types are monitored and managed.
  • You will translate compliance and testing requirements from control owners in areas such as Access Management, Vulnerability Management and Data Governance into measurable metrics, SLAs and continuous monitoring dashboards.
  • You will use data to find ways to improve compliance processes, reduce risk and raise efficiency across the organisation.
  • After launch, you will keep dashboards and controls accurate, reliable and useful. You will investigate data issues and missed SLAs, update queries, and work with upstream data and programme owners to close gaps and improve data quality.
  • You will develop, optimise and maintain data pipelines using Python, REST APIs, DBT and Airflow so compliance and risk data flows smoothly.
  • You will manage and coach one or two analysts in the security and risk space, supporting their growth while keeping delivery quality high.

Requirements

  • You have at least 6 years of experience in a data or analytics role.
  • You are proficient in SQL and familiar with visualisation tools such as Looker, Superset, PowerBI or Tableau.
  • You have experience with automation and building data pipelines, including DBT and Airflow for ETL.
  • You can use REST APIs to build and manage data integrations.
  • Bonus: familiarity with security frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001 and NIST, and with continuous control monitoring (CCM).
  • You help stakeholders decide what to measure, so the data accurately reflects how well controls operate.
  • You build trust and influence across teams, explaining complex ideas clearly to a range of stakeholders.
  • You spot problems early and put solutions in place to improve data processes and analytics.
  • You have some experience leading one or two analysts.

Conditions

The company welcomes applications from all backgrounds and offers equal opportunity in its employment practices.

Benefits

  • Competitive stock options in a profitable company.
  • Flexible working arrangements that support a healthy balance between work and personal life.
  • An annual budget for personal and professional development.
