Description

The team is hiring a proactive, detail-focused data analyst to support large capital programmes and portfolios in the construction sector, with an emphasis on project systems, analytics and information management.

The role sits between project controls systems, information management and data analytics. You will help clients get more from their data, improve how projects are delivered and adopt current digital tools.

You will review and visualise complex data, support PMIS rollouts and contribute to ongoing improvement. The team wants someone curious who suggests ways to grow its analysis capability and works well with others.

The company is a global professional services firm with over 22,000 people in more than 60 countries. It works across real estate, infrastructure, energy and natural resources, and offers programme, project, cost, asset and commercial management, controls, procurement, net zero and digital services.

The company is majority-owned by CBRE Group, with partners holding a significant minority interest.

Responsibilities

  • Help configure, roll out and improve PMIS platforms for large PMOs, mainly cost, risk, schedule and portfolio tools.
  • Help write, check and turn business and system requirements into workable digital solutions and technical documents.
  • Compile and interpret complex data sets, then design and build dashboards and reports that support decisions.
  • Help bring project, cost, schedule and asset data from across the PMO into one central reporting structure.
  • Suggest ways to strengthen internal analysis and modelling, and keep up with industry trends so you can apply what you learn to delivery.
  • Produce clear documentation, presentations and stakeholder updates that explain technical findings to non-specialists.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of professional experience in data analysis, systems implementation or project analytics, real estate or construction background preferred.
  • A degree in a STEM subject, data science, IT or an equivalent qualification.
  • Experience supporting clients through data-driven change, from early engagement to delivery.
  • Strong written and spoken communication, with the confidence to present data findings and technical ideas to internal teams and clients.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven and adaptable, and comfortable working as part of a collaborative team.
  • Fluent English is required.
  • Experience writing SQL to query and manage data in relational databases.
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining dashboards in tools such as Looker Studio (Data Studio) and internal platforms such as Plx Dashboards, plus automating reporting and data integration in cloud productivity suites such as connected spreadsheets and Apps Script.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables and lookups, and some VBA for data handling and modelling.
  • Solid grasp of data and information management standards in capital project or PMO settings.

Conditions

The company is an equal opportunity employer that welcomes applications from all sections of the community.

Benefits

  • A flexible, healthy working environment that respects work-life balance.
  • Room to have a voice and influence change in your work.
