Description

The company's growth plan depends on its Data Analytics and Regulatory Reporting team, which is hiring a data analyst for the regulatory reporting area.

The role keeps the company compliant by making sure required reports reach stakeholders and auditors accurately and on time.

You will work with Finance, Compliance and Product to coordinate and automate reporting across several jurisdictions. Alongside MLROs and reporting specialists, you will turn official technical rules into reliable data models, checks and automated deliveries.

Current projects include a centralised payment statistics pipeline and the account and client databases regulators require. Quality, traceability and timely submission come first.

The company is a fintech founded in 2009, with 2000+ staff across nearly 70 cities. Its proprietary platform combines business accounts, hedging and financing so firms can manage global cash flow and scale across borders.

Roles across the company range from business development to engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside data analysts, analytics engineers, data engineers, compliance officers and the regulatory reporting team.
  • Model data on the platform to build the regulatory and compliance reports that matter most.
  • Run the reporting cycle: gather requirements, build efficient data models, run validation checks and deliver compliant files to regulators.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and visualisations with BI tools (Looker / Looker Studio) for stakeholders and internal auditors.
  • Help automate and improve regulatory reporting so it stays compliant and accurate.

Requirements

  • 4 years of experience in data or business analytics. Experience applied to finance or compliance is a plus.
  • Advanced SQL: you can read and write queries over complex datasets.
  • Hands-on use of dbt, Google Cloud BigQuery, Looker, Sigma and Git.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with close attention to detail.
  • Experience with Python.
  • Prior exposure to regulatory or financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of financial services or capital markets, such as payments, FX, treasury or accounts, is desirable but not required.
  • Ability to manage, organise and present data clearly, concisely and in an actionable form.
  • Fluent English. Spanish is a plus.

Conditions

Based in Madrid, Spain, on a hybrid model: 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home each week.

The company is committed to inclusion and rejects discrimination in every form.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary.
  • Private health insurance and Gympass.
  • Support to advance your career in data and analytics.
  • A collaborative team building a new data infrastructure on a modern data stack.
  • 23 days of annual leave, plus your birthday off and all public holidays in Madrid.
  • In-person off-sites and virtual get-togethers.
  • Personal development, including language courses.
