Cybersecurity Architecture Team Leader

At the Tubize site you would join over 250 colleagues whose expertise is recognized by partners in Belgium and abroad, on products including Radio Frequency (RF) Products, C4ISR, Crypto Global Solution and MACS (Aeronautical Intercom).

Responsibilities

• You lead a team of around 10 cybersecurity architects, most of them internal staff, and make sure they deliver high-quality, reliable and secure solutions.
• You report to the Head of Cybersecurity Engineering.
• You make sure cybersecurity engineering governance is followed in line with the company's processes, and help grow a Secure-by-Design culture across the company.
• Within the Cybersecurity Architecture team you support the cybersecurity of every solution, leading cryptography and cybersecurity architecture work with all engineering disciplines using a risk-based approach.
• You mentor the team, build collaboration and professional growth, improve performance through regular check-ins, and manage team capacity and sourcing to support business growth.
• You lead bid estimation, project planning and on-time delivery, following engineering standards and Secure-by-Design practices for development and operations. As a senior architect you also take part in delivery and reviews, supporting on-time, on-cost and on-quality goals.
• You track technology and method trends to bring innovation, and drive continuous improvement in the team and across the organization.
• You encourage open communication and shared goals, and recognize achievements that strengthen collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, cybersecurity or a related STEM field with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 6+ years of experience.
• A collaborative mentor who builds cross-disciplinary environments, helps people grow, and accepts that mistakes are part of learning.
• Experience defining system and cybersecurity architecture across the full product lifecycle: early concept, low- and high-level architecture, interface control, and verification and validation support.
• Experience leading engineering teams on demanding cybersecurity, critical systems or defense programs.
• Proficiency in system and threat modelling, hardware and software security measures for application and embedded systems, and cryptography including post-quantum algorithms.
• Experience with cybersecurity risk management, systems architecture and certification frameworks such as Common Criteria.
