Description

The company is a private equity-backed technology consulting and implementation partner for mid-market organizations, and it is growing.

This is a consulting assignment to strengthen cybersecurity in a manufacturing environment, where uptime and security both have to hold.

The role covers enterprise cybersecurity architecture across corporate IT, manufacturing operations, and industrial environments, including industrial control systems (ICS) and operational technology (OT).

The work spans network and cloud security, connected devices, industrial networks, and supply chain exposure, with production uptime as a constraint on every decision.

Responsibilities

  • Design enterprise security architectures that match business goals and established best practices.
  • Write security frameworks, policies, standards, and technical guidelines for both IT and OT environments.
  • Build cybersecurity roadmaps, reference architectures, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Work with IT, OT, infrastructure, engineering, and business teams to find vulnerabilities and put controls in place.
  • Assess new security technologies and guide practices that protect manufacturing operations and business continuity.
  • Give the business a clear picture of enterprise and industrial security risks, priorities, and architecture needs.
  • Deliver architecture guidance, standards, and risk recommendations that teams can act on.
  • Strengthen protection for corporate systems and factory environments without sacrificing uptime.
  • Build working relationships with IT, OT, engineering, and business stakeholders that people trust.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years in cybersecurity, including enterprise security architecture and solution design.
  • Solid understanding of network security, cloud security, and enterprise architecture.
  • Hands-on experience securing ICS and OT in manufacturing settings.
  • Ability to work with people across IT, OT, engineering, infrastructure, and the business.
  • Experience writing security standards, finding vulnerabilities, managing risk, and meeting security or regulatory obligations.
  • You take a practical, risk-based view that weighs controls against uptime and reliability.
  • You turn security risks into architecture decisions that the business and technical teams can use.
  • You explain standards, priorities, and recommendations clearly and show sound technical judgment.
  • Nice to have: exposure to security for connected industrial devices and industrial networks.
  • Nice to have: familiarity with cybersecurity challenges in manufacturing supply chains.
  • Nice to have: experience evaluating new security technologies for enterprise or industrial environments.
