  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, digital marketing, communications or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years as a content strategist or content marketer.
  • 5+ years writing content for digital products or services in consulting, in-house or agency settings.
  • Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills, with a focus on building topical authority.
  • Skill with content management systems and SEO (site structure, schema markup), plus knowledge of how AI models retrieve information.
  • Proven record of reducing confusion, form errors and abandonment through structured microcopy, guidance patterns and progressive disclosure.
  • Strong grasp of digital marketing channels and best practices.
  • Experience working closely with product, legal, compliance and engineering to keep content accurate and implemented correctly.
  • Ability to explain design intent and tradeoffs clearly to varied stakeholders, including non-design audiences.
  • Provide a writing sample.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards, inclusive language and compliance-driven content constraints would be highly beneficial.
  • Bonus: experience with federal agencies or public-sector digital services.
  • Bonus: prior client-facing or consulting work in regulated environments.
  • Bonus: experience with GEO, AEO and AI strategy, structuring information for both people and machines.
  • Bonus: strong foundation in human-centered design for browser-based, native application and platform experiences.
  • Bonus: experience writing for complex, high-traffic platforms serving diverse audiences.
  • Bonus: exposure to service design, journey mapping or omni-channel government services.
