The company is publicly traded on the NYSE. It began as a storage maker and now offers a broader data platform. It reported $3.7 billion in revenue for fiscal 2026, including its first quarter above $1 billion, and expects growth to keep accelerating into FY27.
Its strategic customer base includes hyperscalers, AI labs, the AI hardware supply chain, data platform providers and the wider AI ecosystem.
This is a pre-sales role focused on strategic accounts.
Responsibilities
Act as the senior technical lead for a portfolio of the world's largest global banks, asset managers and payment networks.
Own the technical strategy for each account and earn the trust of architects, platform owners and technology executives there.
Coordinate product specialists, professional services and partners to win multi-year, multi-million dollar platform decisions.
Help clients decide how to build AI infrastructure on data they cannot move, modernize data platforms without adding operational risk, and meet tighter resilience and regulatory demands at lower cost.
Work alongside senior account teams and keep visibility with leadership across sales, product and engineering.
Move easily from whiteboarding data architecture with a chief architect to running a competitive bake-off or answering a 200-line RFI precisely.
Maintain the technical account plan: the customer's architecture, constraints and roadmap, current deployments, whitespace and the next plays.
Be the main technical contact for infrastructure architects, storage and platform engineering leaders and technology executives.
Lead the technical side of complex pursuits from discovery to decision, including solution design, sizing, RFI and RFP responses, proofs of concept, lab evaluations and head-to-head bake-offs.
Design the container, storage and data layer for AI at scale, including GPU cluster storage, inference and cache offload, retrieval and analytics pipelines, and governed data in place.
Run plays on Kubernetes and OpenShift data services, virtualization transitions, NVMe over TCP and Ethernet block, object storage and cyber resilience.
Bring in the right specialists, services and partner engineers at the right time, align them on one plan, and assign owners, dates and a clear definition of done for each workstream.
Work with the GAM on account planning, forecasting and pipeline hygiene.
Carry the needs of the most demanding financial institutions to product management and help shape roadmap priorities with specific, evidence-based input.
Requirements
Ten or more years in enterprise infrastructure, with at least five in a customer-facing pre-sales, solutions architecture or field engineering role.
Direct experience with large financial services institutions is strongly expected.
Hands-on command of enterprise block, file and object storage, and data protection and replication, including how they perform under real production load.
Working fluency in virtualization, Kubernetes and container platforms (OpenShift especially), storage networking over Ethernet, NVMe over TCP, RDMA and Fibre Channel, and at least one major public cloud.
Strong executive communication skills.
A record of winning technical evaluations against established storage and infrastructure vendors, and of building displacement cases that hold up under customer scrutiny.
Strongly preferred: experience with analytics and lakehouse platforms, data governance and discovery, and how data placement affects cost, compliance and AI readiness.
Preferred: exposure to GPU infrastructure and AI workloads, such as NVIDIA DGX and SuperPOD reference architectures, GPUDirect Storage, inference serving frameworks (vLLM, NVIDIA Dynamo, llm-d), and the storage patterns behind training, inference and retrieval.
Preferred: relevant certifications in Kubernetes, Red Hat, cloud, NVIDIA or major storage platforms.
A plus, but not required: prior experience with FlashArray, FlashBlade or Portworx, from the vendor or customer side.
