Responsibilities

  • Decide which suppliers, parts and materials go into the supply base survey and how deeply each one is covered, then drive collection across suppliers and hold them to complete, accurate and on-time answers.
  • Analyze large, complex supplier and product data with tools such as Excel, Databricks and Tableau to find exposure, risk and gaps, and build reporting that supports compliance, cost work and sourcing choices.
  • Turn survey findings into ranked supplier, sourcing and engineering actions, coordinating part changes, supplier requirements and engineering changes with supplier account management, supplier engineering, the design engineering authority and business unit materials teams until each action is implemented.
  • Act as the global supply chain contact for product and environmental regulations, including US-EPA/TSCA and EU/REACH, working with the Compliance Legal team on formal interpretation and with EHS as needed.
  • Lead several compliance projects and programs at once, using strong methods to deliver outcomes, milestones and resource plans.
  • Present complex findings and recommendations clearly and persuasively to people at every level, and run meetings that build agreement and lead to decisions.
  • Find and put in place process changes that cut manual work and improve data quality. Document every phase of projects, programs and processes and share them with the relevant functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering or a related field.
  • Preferred: an advanced degree.
  • 7, 10 years in material management, procurement, sourcing, program management or analytics, within a matrixed or global organization.
  • Ability to read supplier and product data and turn it into supplier, sourcing and engineering outcomes.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables and data visualization, and strong PowerPoint skills in presentation design and storytelling.
  • Preferred: experience with Databricks, Tableau, Power BI or SQL.
  • Plus: PMP, CAPM or Six Sigma certification.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication, with a record of influencing and building relationships across teams and regions.
  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking and stakeholder management.
  • Advantage but not required: familiarity with product or environmental regulatory requirements. The right candidate will be trained on the regulatory detail.
  • Must have supply chain, procurement or sourcing experience.
  • Must have strong data analysis and reporting skills.
  • Must have experience influencing and presenting data to executive level.
