Client Product Manager

Description

The SFCM team is hiring a client product manager to help shape the product range.

We are looking for a customer-focused capital markets professional with solid post-trade experience and a knack for building client relationships.

You will spot customer needs, judge market openings, assess competitors, and help set the direction of the product lineup. Engineering, manufacturing, sales, advertising, and production teams will be your day-to-day partners in launching new products and improving current ones.

Responsibilities

• Spot customer needs, market shifts, and openings where competitors fall short.
• Set product requirements, strategy for each product line, packaging, and pricing advice.
• Judge new product ideas through business cases, return on investment, and development plans.
• Plan timelines and launches with teams across the company.
• Create go-to-market plans together with sales, advertising, and production.
• Solve complex product and business problems using data, market insight, and good judgment.
• Mentor colleagues and lead smaller projects that have set timelines and resources.

Requirements

• Around 8, 10 years of relevant experience in capital markets, with real domain know-how and strong client-facing skills.
• Strong grasp of securities financing and post-trade work, including stock borrow and loan, repo, securities lending, lifecycle events, settlement, and clearing.
• Clear communicator who builds relationships, earns trust, leads client conversations, understands concerns, and makes complicated topics simple.
• Able to turn operational needs into actionable requirements alongside business analysts, support, and development teams.
• Organised delivery oversight: tracking commitments, spotting risks, balancing competing priorities, and making sure work gets finished.
• Collaborative, able to influence across functions and help set clear roles and workable ways of working as the team structure changes.
• Sound analysis and business judgment, weighing client needs against product priorities and delivery constraints.

Conditions

This is a hybrid role: the team meets in person as needed to learn and collaborate.
