The company is a global wealth management, asset servicing, asset management and banking firm, founded in 1889, with more than 24,000 staff and over 135 years of financial experience.
The Senior Consultant sits in Custody Client Services and supports the controlled move of in-scope custody and banking clients to the company Irish Branch. The role brings structure and transparency to a complex, cross-functional program, with a focus on client outcomes, operational readiness, risk and regulatory delivery.
The work is hands-on individual contribution that involves coordinating several client migrations, workstreams and stakeholders across Client Services, Relationship Management, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Product, Technology and other functions. You will actively manage plans, dependencies, decisions and client impacts through implementation and stabilisation.
The role suits a project manager who likes turning complexity into order, works across functions and wants to deliver real change. You would help shape a major client and operating model transition and build depth in custody, regulatory change and enterprise delivery.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and oversee custody and banking delivery for the Irish Branch migration, working alongside the Senior Project Manager to keep alignment and execution on track.
Build and maintain an integrated migration plan covering client, operational, legal, regulatory, technology, data and change activity.
Coordinate client-level and operational readiness, making sure migration requirements, decisions, risks and actions have clear owners and move forward.
Protect the client experience by lining up the future service operating model, communications, implementation work and transition support.
Set up clear governance, reporting and escalation so decisions are made on time and delivery stays accountable.
Apply disciplined risk and control management from planning through execution, cutover and post-migration stabilisation.
Keep a migration inventory and status view for each impacted custody and banking client, covering scope, complexity, key contacts, milestones, document needs, dependencies, risks and readiness criteria.
Work with Relationship Managers, Client Service Delivery Managers, Service Managers and other client-facing teams to understand each client's business, service needs and migration impact.
Coordinate proactive, clear and consistent client communications, and make sure queries, concerns and decisions are resolved or escalated quickly.
Support client due diligence, service reviews, implementation discussions and management information where needed.
Make sure the proposed service operating model is documented, understood and aligned across client and internal delivery teams.
Give closer oversight to complex or strategic client migrations and help each one move smoothly into the Irish Branch service model.
Develop, maintain and control detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, deliverables, actions, risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies.
Coordinate workstreams so scope, priorities, sequencing, ownership and expected outcomes are aligned.
Set delivery standards, readiness criteria and evidence requirements for each migration stage.
Track progress against plans, spot likely blockers and propose fixes to keep delivery on course.
Keep decision, issue and action logs, and escalate overdue or high-impact items actively.
Coordinate implementation, cutover and post-migration support plans, including operational readiness, contingency arrangements and lessons learned.
Track key deliverables, client outcomes and benefits realisation, reporting variances and recovery actions.
Work with business, operations, technology, data, product, legal, compliance, risk, tax and other functions to drive execution and alignment.
Run working sessions, workstream meetings, planning sessions and issue-resolution forums.
Build working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Act as the central contact for migration questions, bringing in the right experts and tracking responses to closure.
Prepare accurate, concise governance materials, status reports, dashboards, executive summaries and decision papers for leadership.
Give leadership a clear view of overall program health, client readiness, milestone performance, key decisions, risks, issues, dependencies and needed interventions.
Make sure governance meetings have a clear purpose, good materials, and are followed by timely actions and recorded decisions.
Use management information and trend analysis to find emerging concerns, bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
Keep project documents and critical client information in agreed repositories, with version control and audit evidence.
Build a strong risk and control focus into all migration activity, so client, operational, legal, regulatory and conduct risks are identified, assessed, owned and reduced.
Make sure migration activity follows applicable policies, procedures, governance standards and risk programs.
Coordinate readiness assessments and gather evidence that controls, procedures, access, data, documentation and operational arrangements are in place before migration.
Escalate material risks, issues, control gaps or client impacts quickly and help develop practical remediation plans.
Support change impact assessments, stakeholder engagement, communications, training and adoption to embed new capabilities and processes.
Run knowledge transfer and on-the-job support for staff working in the future-state service model.
Look for ways to simplify migration work, improve straight-through processing, cut manual effort and strengthen the client service offering.
Use analytical thinking and problem-solving on complex business challenges to support evidence-based decisions.
Turn lessons learned into repeatable standards, templates, controls and process improvements for later migration waves.
