Business Systems Analyst/Tester

Description

The team is supporting the implementation of a commercial off-the-shelf financial system and keeps designing and delivering complex solutions for its customers.

The company wants customer-focused people who can learn new business processes quickly, find and fix system problems, and work on their own in a demanding setting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main contact on the Tier 2 support team for issues escalated from Tier 1 about the financial system, its interfaces, and its reports.
• Give advanced technical support for complex system errors, configuration problems, and user access permission issues that Tier 1 cannot resolve.
• Own each escalated ticket from first diagnosis through final resolution, recording all actions and fixes and keeping relevant stakeholders informed.
• Perform root cause analysis on recurring or complex problems, then work with technical and functional teams to propose and carry out lasting fixes.

Requirements

• Required: be a U.S. citizen holding an active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance, and be SCI eligible.
• Required: hold a bachelor's degree in a related field and have 3 to 6 years of related experience.
• Required: have experience configuring and troubleshooting the financial system.
• Required: write clear, concise records of technical issues and their resolutions.
• Required: communicate well with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Required: understand IT support practices, ticket handling, and escalation workflows.
• Required: organize well enough to manage several tickets and priorities at once.
• Required: solve problems well, including doing root cause analysis and building long-term solutions.
• Required: be willing to work onsite full time at a secure facility in Rosslyn, VA.
• Desired: experience with Jira or another ticket tracking tool.
• Desired: ability to write and run SQL queries.
• Desired: experience with Department of Defense financial systems.
• Desired: familiarity with configuring the financial system's subsystems.

Conditions

This is a full time position, with travel of up to 10% within the continental US.

Work is onsite in a secure facility in Rosslyn, VA.

Final salary depends on factors such as location, federal contract labor categories and wage rates, prior experience, skills, education, and certifications.

The proposed salary range is $72,700 to $149,200.
