Brand Designer (Remote)

Description

The company handles the financial side of software businesses, covering contracts, billing, payments, and bookkeeping in one system.

Its customers often juggle QuickBooks, Stripe, and a mix of spreadsheets and agent tools to keep their finances running.

Rather than adding AI to old software, the team rebuilt contracts, accounting, billing, invoicing, and payments, then added agents to handle routine work.

The company recently raised $10M from investors including Khosla Ventures and Tobi Lütke.

The product launches soon. The team has seven people, and this is the second design hire. You will work next to the first designer and report to the founder.

Responsibilities

• Shape the company's visual identity, including typography, imagery, motion, art direction, and the details that make the brand easy to recognize.
• Design the website, launches, campaigns, social content, and other marketing that introduces the company to people.
• Bring the brand into the product, working with the designer and engineers so every interaction feels distinctly like the company.
• Prototype ideas with tools such as Cursor and Claude Code. You do not need engineering skills, but you should be curious about what you can build.
• Ship work quickly. Your designs will reach real customers within days or hours.

Requirements

• Strong design judgment: you recognize great work, can explain why it works, and have a portfolio that shows you can produce it.
• An exceptional eye for typography, composition, color, and the small details that make work memorable.
• Experience across brand, web, marketing, or product, with work you are excited to show.
• The ability to turn an ambiguous idea into something compelling without waiting for exact instructions.
• An understanding of how design works on the web, and care for how your work looks, feels, and functions once it is live.
• Interest in AI-powered creative tools and what they make possible for designers, whether you already use them or are just getting started.
• A preference for putting something strong out, learning from it, and iterating over spending weeks debating hypotheticals.
• Low tolerance for empty talk.

Conditions

Salary of $250K to $300K USD.

Equity of 7% to 1% fully diluted.

Work authorization in the US, Canada, or Mexico is required. Visa sponsorship is not offered for this role. The company's in-person role in San Francisco is an alternative option.

The company works in person at its San Francisco office six days a week and is flexible on hours.
