Description

This is a hybrid role: you will work from an office about 2 days per week on average.

The company is a global edge-to-cloud business. The team builds and ships server products, and this role sits in the engineering organisation.

The job family covers programs that run longer, span several functions and projects, and carry complex requirements, as opposed to shorter, contained projects.

Work at this level has a real impact on the technical parts of products, solutions, or services. The person is a subject matter expert who makes sound independent decisions and may lead and mentor others.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a multi-function program that moves a product or service offering through engineering development and implementation.
  • Build and run the schedule, key deliverables, budget, resource plan, and other support needs for the program.
  • Oversee supporting project teams and internal development partners, track progress against plan, and adjust schedules and resourcing based on business data to meet product requirements.
  • Report program status, escalations, and issue analysis to product stakeholders. Work with management and internal manufacturing and development partners to propose and carry out changes to product, process, or business practice that resolve escalations and keep budgets and roadmaps on track.
  • Bring new technologies and quality initiatives into projects and activities across manufacturing or engineering.
  • Guide and mentor less experienced team members.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, computer science, business management, or an equivalent field.
  • Typically 6 to 10 years of experience.
  • Program management experience in a technical field, preferably in firmware, including UEFI or BMC firmware.
  • Extensive experience with project and program planning tools and software to build, manage, and track results.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proven business acumen and a track record of running all aspects of programs, communicating with stakeholders, and directing matrixed teams and resources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English and the local language.
  • The ability to present program plans, proposals, and results and negotiate options with senior management.
  • Preferred: background in server technology.
  • Preferred: background in UEFI or BMC firmware development or validation.
  • Preferred: experience working with external partners such as ODMs.
  • Preferred: PMP or PMI certification.

Conditions

Hybrid work with an average of 2 days per week in an HPE office.

Annual base salary in the United States of America: USD 123,500 to 285,000 in Texas. Final offers may vary by location, experience, education, training, or skill level. Variable incentives may also be offered on top of base salary.

The company is committed to accessibility and welcomes applicants with disabilities. Accommodation requests can be made through a secure form linked in the posting.
