Azure Cloud Engineer

Description

The company runs and modernizes mission-critical technology systems for leading businesses worldwide, combining long-standing expertise with AI-driven insight.

You will join the Azure Business Support Team and work with architecture and engineering teams on enterprise cloud projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and build self-service Azure capabilities and reusable platform products, such as templates, APIs and integration patterns, for internal DevOps teams.
• Make Azure services easier, safer and quicker for developers to use, with security, compliance, policy, identity, networking and governance built in.
• Design enterprise-scale landing zones based on Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework.
• Set up and enforce strict Azure Policies and governance controls across all environments.
• Modernize platforms with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ARM, Bicep and PowerShell.
• Build, automate and maintain deployment pipelines in Azure Pipelines using YAML.
• Oversee and tune core Azure services, including AKS, Azure VMs, Azure Networking, Azure Monitor, Azure AD and IAM, Azure SQL and Databricks, so platform services stay reliable and observable.
• Work with DevOps, development and architecture teams using an automation-first approach to deliver cloud solutions.

Requirements

• Be customer-focused, keep growing your skills, and work openly and inclusively with others.
• Show strong knowledge of core Azure services: AKS, VMs, Azure Networking, Azure Monitor, Azure AD and IAM, Azure SQL and Databricks.
• Have experience designing enterprise landing zones on Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework and enforcing Azure Policies and governance.
• Have hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation using Terraform, ARM, Bicep and PowerShell.
• Have strong skills in building Azure Pipelines with YAML.
• Have a proven record of building self-service Azure capabilities, reusable products, templates, APIs and integration patterns.
• Bring an automation-first mindset, clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to work smoothly across teams.
• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field, and have at least 7 years of experience in Azure engineering or a related discipline.
• Preferred: prior hands-on software development or programming experience to support your infrastructure automation work.
• Highly preferred: Microsoft certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AZ-104, AZ-400 and AZ-204.
• Preferred: other certifications such as CKA, CKAD or HashiCorp Terraform Associate.
