ATR – Internship 2027 - AI & Data Engineering - Automated Technical Knowledge Extraction

Internship based in Blagnac, starting February/March 2027 for 06 months.

The project is a solution that gathers data from technical documents, turns it into structured information and feeds a central database.

Responsibilities

• Build a solution that collects data automatically from several document sources, such as test reports, maintenance documents, inspection reports, incident summaries, existing databases and technical files in PDF, Word or Excel.
• Identify and extract the relevant information from these documents, then structure it using automated document processing.
• Use AI where it is useful to make data extraction more accurate and reliable.
• Develop features that generate technical notes, or help write them, from the collected data.
• Load the extracted information into a central database automatically.
• Help define the software architecture, and take part in testing, validation and documentation of the solution.

Requirements

• Final-year engineering school student (Bac+5) or Master 2 student in computer science, data science or artificial intelligence.
• Strong Python skills, including libraries such as Pandas and NumPy, for processing and analysing data.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational database design.
• Some knowledge or experience of AI and machine learning.
• Knowledge of OCR and of extracting data from documents.
• Understanding of common document formats: PDF, Word and Excel.
• Ability to understand and formalise a business need.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, able to take initiative and work on your own.
• Rigour and good organisation.
• Able to work well in a multidisciplinary team.
• Clear oral and written communication.
• Able to propose innovative solutions.
• French at fluent or native level; English at intermediate to advanced level, B2 minimum recommended.

Location: Blagnac.

Start date: February/March 2027. Duration: 06 months.
