Description

The company discovers, develops, and delivers medicines for serious diseases, and its culture centers on who each person is working for. It offers room to grow and an environment that values inclusion, wellbeing, and flexibility.

This role sets the architecture for the core Rewire Field experience, the connected flow that runs from pre-call and interaction work through post-call work. It brings CRM, field intelligence, orchestration outputs, and AI agents together into one flow for field users.

The goal is to help field users see what matters, why it matters, and what to do next, then complete that step inside their daily work. The aim is not another dashboard or a set of disconnected widgets.

You will work with Commercial, CASA, Data and Insights, Orchestration, CRM, Engineering, and UX to set the technical blueprint. That includes integration with Veeva Vault CRM and links to coaching, role play, and performance tracking that partner teams own. You will also involve Cybersecurity, Privacy, Legal, and Compliance from the start.

You own the IT architecture for the AI Prep Agent, Field Intelligence Dashboard, AI Post-Call Agent, and HCP-Facing AI Agents. You integrate with, but do not own, the Personalized Coaching Platform and Real-Time Performance Tracker, which partner teams own. The result should be one connected experience, not separate tools.

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the end-to-end architecture for the core experience across experience, application, integration, intelligence, data, and security layers.
  • Shape the pre-call, interaction, and post-call steps into one continuous flow, so users move from insight to understanding, recommendation, action, and feedback without switching systems.
  • Set integration patterns among Veeva Vault CRM, Databricks, data products, orchestration services, enterprise AI tools, and other field platforms.
  • Work with the CRM migration team so new Vault capabilities, objects, workflows, and data models support the future experience instead of copying current processes.
  • Make sure the design supports a simpler, personalized, AI-enabled field experience that cuts administrative work and deepens customer engagement.
  • Design the consumer layer: contextual reasoning, summaries, agent orchestration, workflow execution, user interaction, and feedback loops.
  • Set technical patterns that turn insights and orchestration outputs into structured, explainable, actionable intelligence.
  • Design AI briefs that summarize the customer situation, explain why an opportunity or risk matters, and state the next action.
  • Enable agent workflows that let field users act directly: preparing for interactions, completing post-call tasks, responding to recommendations, giving feedback, and accessing customer information.
  • Decide which capabilities Always-On Insights and Orchestration deliver upstream and which need reasoning, agents, or workflow logic in the consumer layer. Make upstream outputs granular and structured for agents and workflows, not broad widget outputs.
  • Define integration points with the Personalized Coaching Platform and Real-Time Performance Tracker through clear interfaces. Expose customer context, interaction data, and field intelligence without owning their internal architecture.
  • Work with the partner platform owners to confirm that APIs, data outputs, and auditability meet the core experience's needs. Escalate conflicting approaches to architecture governance.
  • Own architecture decisions, standards, and technical direction within enterprise and commercial governance principles. Lead technical evaluations and build-versus-buy recommendations within scope.
  • Maintain architecture decision records, solution blueprints, and interface contracts. Keep components replaceable, scalable, and modular. Escalate cross-program or enterprise decisions to senior architecture leadership.
  • Build cybersecurity, privacy, legal, regulatory, and responsible AI requirements into the architecture from the start. Define controls for AI-generated content, dynamic summaries, customer data, and agent-initiated actions.
  • Ensure agent workflows include human oversight, traceability, explainability, access controls, monitoring, and auditability. Define approval patterns with Privacy, Legal, Compliance, and Cybersecurity.
  • Turn the architecture into incremental releases that can be piloted, measured, improved, and scaled. Work with engineers on buildable components, APIs, user stories, and delivery plans.
  • Validate choices with prototypes, proofs of concept, and working software. Use feedback from field ambassadors and pilot users to change intelligence logic, workflow, and integration, not only the interface.
  • Define architecture-level success measures tied to field adoption, administrative burden, workflow completion, and experience quality. Design for reuse so other markets can adopt it, with regional and international teams owning local adaptation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years in enterprise solution architecture, commercial technology, AI architecture, digital product architecture, or field-facing technology.
  • Experience designing connected experiences that span multiple applications, data sources, workflows, and interfaces.
  • Solid grasp of agentic AI, generative AI, contextual reasoning, AI orchestration, workflow automation, and human-in-the-loop design.
  • Proven ability to turn business experience concepts into scalable architectures and executable delivery plans.
  • Experience with CRM and commercial platforms, ideally Veeva Vault CRM, Veeva Commercial Cloud, Salesforce, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of APIs, event-driven architecture, middleware, data products, master data, real-time integration, identity, authorization, and workflow orchestration.
  • Experience with cloud, data, and AI platforms such as Databricks, Azure, AWS, OpenAI, or equivalent enterprise technologies.
  • Understanding of UX architecture and the technical needs for coherent experiences across embedded, native, web, and mobile interfaces.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or another highly regulated industry.
  • Strong understanding of privacy, cybersecurity, responsible AI, compliance, and auditability for enterprise AI.
  • Ability to explain complex technical decisions clearly to commercial leaders, product owners, engineers, data scientists, enterprise architects, and vendors.
  • Preferred qualification: experience designing AI-enabled field, sales, medical, or customer engagement experiences.
  • Preferred qualification: experience with Veeva Vault CRM agents, commercial insights, call planning, post-call workflows, or related field capabilities.
  • Preferred qualification: experience integrating with adjacent learning, coaching, or performance-management platforms through APIs or data contracts.
  • Preferred qualification: familiarity with AI product evaluation, build-versus-buy decisions, vendor architecture assessments, and proof-of-concept delivery.
  • Preferred qualification: experience supporting or contributing to global deployments across the US, International markets, and Japan.
  • Preferred qualification: architecture or cloud certifications such as TOGAF, Azure, AWS, Databricks, Salesforce, Veeva, or relevant AI credentials.
  • The company hires for skills and capabilities, so apply if the role interests you even if your resume does not match every point.
