Application Engineer Mask Repair (f/m/x)

Description

The company makes equipment for semiconductor manufacturing, including lithography optics, photomask systems and process control solutions. Around 80 percent of the world's microchips are produced using its technologies.

This role centres on the Application Engineer position for mask repair, with a focus on AFM-based Particle Removal Tools.

Responsibilities

• Install and accept the AFM-based Particle Removal Tools at photomask and semiconductor manufacturers worldwide, working alongside local staff.
• Run practical, hands-on training sessions that teach colleagues and customers how to use the tool and its applications.
• Use your analytical, goal-oriented thinking to help the Application Support Team resolve complex issues quickly.
• Work with the Product Management team to show customers new processes and features on the latest machine generations.
• Pass improvement ideas and new use cases from customers and local staff into the development process.

Requirements

• A completed Master's degree or equivalent in natural sciences, engineering or a related field. A PhD is preferred.
• Ideally, knowledge of or experience with atomic force microscopy (AFM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), EDX and vacuum technology.
• An analytical, customer-focused approach, flexibility, enthusiasm for cutting-edge technology and a good team player.
• Ideally, experience working with international customers, particularly in Asia and the USA, or a strong interest in doing so.
• Willingness to work in a cleanroom.
• Willingness to travel extensively, including international business trips lasting several weeks across continents.
