  • Track algorithm defects and resolve them.
  • Write technical documentation when needed.
  • Work in cross-discipline teams and explain technical material clearly to engineers at every level.

  • At least 1 year of software development with Python, C++, or both.
  • Working knowledge of Linux and common utilities such as grep, awk, cat and head.
  • Experience developing, analyzing, testing and implementing algorithms that can be extended and reused.
  • Experience with algorithm design and state estimation.
  • Experience with data analysis, including population statistics and trend identification.
  • Ability to connect theoretical concepts to practical implementation.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time to support business needs.
  • Preferred: a strong statistical background and skills.
  • Preferred: experience with tracking and prediction algorithms, simulation and validation.
  • Preferred: experience numerically implementing motion filters.
  • Preferred: familiarity with OPIR and EOIR sensors and their simulations, which is a plus.
  • Preferred: familiarity with JIRA, Bitbucket, Conan, Nexus and containerized build and run environments.

Conditions

You must hold a current, active, in-scope U.S. Government-issued Secret clearance at the time of application, which is required to start, and be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

Relocation assistance may be available.

Base salary guideline: Primary level $114,000.00 to $171,000.00; Secondary level $142,200.00 to $213,400.00. Actual offers depend on the scope of the role, your experience, education, skills and market conditions.

The application period is estimated at 20 days from the posting date, and may be shortened or extended based on business needs and candidate availability.
