The company builds secure connectivity and infrastructure for embedded applications, with work in secure connected vehicles, end-to-end security and privacy, and smart connected solutions. It has over 60 years of combined experience and about 45,000 employees in more than 35 countries.

This is an AI software developer role in a semiconductor setting, supporting and maintaining critical software systems.

You would join the AI Software R&D department's team in Brno, Czech Republic. The team has 10 members, from interns and juniors to senior and principal developers, and has worked together for 5+ years.

The team owns a full software portfolio of AI products, from runtime libraries to an SDK with optimization algorithms and neural network deployment tools, for PC, mobile and embedded platforms.

The team is spread across the US, Romania, China, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Canada, Mexico and the Czech Republic, and works with other international teams. Communication is in English.

Your work will help build technologies used in customer devices such as smart glasses, self-driving cars, and medical or industrial products.

You will get to work on the latest AI innovations at a multinational semiconductor company.

Responsibilities

• Build tools, libraries and algorithms in Python that optimize neural network models for embedded and mobile devices.
• Develop Python tools to deploy, profile and benchmark neural network models on embedded and mobile devices.
• Enable audio, vision, generative AI and/or language models on mobile and embedded devices.
• Contribute to open-source projects such as PyTorch, ONNX, TensorFlow or other popular communities, including major GitHub repositories.
• Explore new research and technology, build proofs of concept or your own inventions, and pursue papers or patents. Present your results at major software conferences.
• Co-develop hardware and software for state-of-the-art AI accelerators.
• Contribute to research, innovation, patents and open-source software.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Python, including writing production software in it.
• Familiarity with software engineering best practices.
• An academic background, or experience with neural networks or machine learning algorithms.
• Passion for AI, machine learning, smart devices, agentic systems or similar fields.
• A curious, innovative way of thinking.
• Ownership of meeting goals and deadlines.
• Nice-to-have: JavaScript, TypeScript or React experience, or minor GUI, UI or UX development.
• Nice-to-have: experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch, or with compiler technologies.
• Resume and motivation letter submitted in English.

Full-time position with a permanent contract.

A valid visa and work permit to work in the Czech Republic are required at the application stage.
