Description

You will build and run the interface, semantic layer and controls that let AI agents work inside the company's enterprise software safely.

The company is a large enterprise software business with over 7000 employees and more than a billion dollars in revenue. Its AI technology underpins its products.

The work is interesting because content arrives in pieces, gets revised, sometimes fails midway and is sometimes wrong. Some of it is code a model generated, which the browser must not trust. The protocols involved (AG-UI, A2UI, MCP Apps) are new and still changing, and you will help shape them rather than only use them.

Responsibilities

  • Own the web client of an AI agent product for enterprise customers, a React and TypeScript single-page application whose screen content is mostly streamed from a language-model agent.
  • Build an interface users can trust while the content is still loading, changing and occasionally inaccurate.
  • Turn the agent's output (text, generated views and actions) into an interface users can work with.
  • Ensure the agent acts only with the user's explicit consent, and that users can always see what it did and why.
  • Own the front-end architecture, the component system and the agreements with the teams building the agent.
  • Move the interface towards Lit and Web Components so the code is standards-based and not locked to one framework or application.
  • Make accessibility, performance, testing and observability part of the product from the start, not a final check.
  • Work into the services your interface relies on, then ship your changes and run them in production.

Requirements

  • Have production experience building and operating substantial single-page applications, with deep knowledge of modern TypeScript and a current framework such as Angular or React.
  • Have built a product surface on a language model in production, handling streaming, partial output, cancellation, retries and what to show when the system is unsure.
  • Have worked on component architecture and design systems in a codebase shared with other teams.
  • Practise accessibility routinely and can describe performance improvements with measured figures.
  • Can write the service-side code your surface needs.
  • Build with automated testing, observability and continuous delivery as standard.
  • Also valuable:
  • Experience configuring behaviour through data or metadata rather than code.
  • Mobile or progressive web app work, including offline use and poor connectivity.
  • Voice interface experience.
  • Experience in enterprise software domains such as asset management, field service, manufacturing or supply chain.

Conditions

The role is hybrid or remote.

The company balances remote and in-office work, valuing in-person time for innovation, connection and belonging.

The company welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and cultures.
