You will join the team that designs and delivers AI and data solutions for the company's clients as they modernise their data and AI.

The role combines presales, design and hands-on engineering, from first client talks and Proofs of Value (PoVs) through design, build, deployment and handover.

A solid data engineering base matters most: you know how enterprise data is gathered, integrated, transformed and made ready for analytics and AI.

On that base you build solutions with machine learning, Generative AI, LLMs, RAG and AI agents.

You move between client conversations, design work and hands-on build.

Responsibilities

• Understand client needs from both a technical and a functional point of view.
• Review client data environments and spot relevant AI and data use cases.
• Take part in presales work and client workshops.
• Design data and AI architectures.
• Build data platforms, pipelines and integrations.
• Prepare AI-ready data layers for analytics, machine learning and Generative AI.
• Deliver Proofs of Value and production-grade solutions.
• Implement AI using LLMs, RAG and related technologies.
• Connect solutions to enterprise applications, APIs and data sources.
• Package and deploy solutions on cloud and container platforms.
• Write implementation plans and technical documentation.
• Support operations teams during troubleshooting and handover.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, Data Science or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in AI and data engineering, data or solution architecture, or similar technical roles.
• Proven record designing and implementing enterprise data platforms and AI solutions.
• Solid knowledge of data lake, lakehouse and data warehouse architectures.
• Hands-on work with ETL/ELT, data pipelines and data integration.
• Experience with data modelling and preparing data for analytics and AI workloads.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Programming experience, Python preferred.
• Experience pulling data from APIs, databases, files and enterprise applications.
• Understanding of data quality, security and governance.
• Strong grasp of Generative AI, LLMs and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Experience connecting AI solutions with enterprise data and applications.
• Strong containerization skills, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of cloud platforms, CI/CD and DataOps/MLOps principles.
• Ability to turn business and functional requirements into technical designs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-oriented, able to grasp both business and technical requirements.
• Comfortable with presales activities, workshops and customer presentations.
• Proactive, curious and keen to learn new technologies.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Good verbal and written communication in Dutch and/or French, and in English.
• Common tools across projects: Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, data lakes and lakehouses, SQL and NoSQL, Python, ETL/ELT, REST APIs, Generative AI and LLMs, RAG and vector databases, Azure OpenAI and Azure AI, Docker and Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, Git and CI/CD, DataOps and MLOps.
• Advantage: Microsoft Fabric and Red Hat OpenShift experience.
