AI & Automation Engineer

The Data & AI team builds AI-powered and intelligent automation solutions that make operations, customer experience and business processes work better.

The role centres on the Microsoft Power Platform, with Azure services and Azure Databricks supporting Generative AI (GenAI) and automation work. You will help modernise current automation and move it from traditional RPA toward AI-driven and agent-based solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship AI agents and GenAI solutions powered by LLMs.
• Create intelligent automation with the Microsoft Power Platform and Azure services.
• Study existing business processes to find where automation, optimisation or AI can help.
• Move legacy RPA solutions to new approaches, such as Power Automate, API integrations and LLM-driven agentic workflows.
• Connect solutions to enterprise applications, databases, APIs and cloud services.
• Build scalable data and AI pipelines in Python and SQL on modern cloud technology.
• Work with business stakeholders to define requirements, check solutions and help teams adopt them.
• Set up monitoring, testing and performance tuning for AI and automation solutions.
• Make sure work meets NN's architecture, security, data and AI governance standards.
• Keep technical documentation current and share knowledge with other teams.

Requirements

• At least 4 years in AI engineering, intelligent automation or a related software engineering role.
• Solid hands-on skill with Python and REST APIs.
• Experience building and deploying GenAI solutions, including LLMOps.
• Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate.
• Working knowledge of LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases and AI agents.
• Experience modernising or replacing legacy RPA systems.
• Experience connecting solutions to enterprise systems through APIs.
• Familiarity with software engineering best practices, including Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage stakeholders.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Nice to have: experience with Databricks and modern data platforms.
• Nice to have: knowledge of OCR, Document Intelligence and Intelligent Document Processing.
• Nice to have: experience in insurance or financial services.

Conditions

Monthly gross salary between €2,600 and €4,000, based on qualifications and experience.

Office in a central, easily reached location, recently renovated.
