AI Atlassian Engineer

Description

You will be the main expert the customer relies on to get value from AI agents, with Atlassian Rovo as the core platform and a wide view of the wider AI ecosystem.

You will decide which agent or tool suits each case and help design efficient agent-based solutions and guide teams through adoption.

The company is a European firm in customer experience and digital transformation, with 2,200 people across 12 countries, that builds high-performance architectures and digital experiences for large international brands.

Responsibilities

• Advise on agentic AI strategy, finding the processes where agents add real value and rejecting use cases with little impact.
• Compare agents and tools such as Rovo, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and coding agents like Rovo Dev or Claude Code, weighing use case, cost and security needs.
• Design, build and test agents in Rovo Studio and build custom solutions with Forge where needed.
• Connect Rovo to other AI tools and external systems using MCP, APIs and connectors.
• Set efficiency and ROI metrics and track results over time.
• Define good practice for governance, security and responsible AI use that complies with GDPR and the EU AI Act.
• Train technical and non-technical users and drive adoption across the organisation.

Requirements

• Proven hands-on work with Atlassian Rovo, including agents, Studio, search and chat, plus Jira and Confluence administration.
• Wide knowledge of the generative and agentic AI market, with practical use of several platforms and models.
• Solid skills in agent design, prompt engineering, RAG concepts and agent evaluation.
• Experience with REST APIs and MCP integrations, and knowledge of Forge or JavaScript/TypeScript development.
• Consulting skills: process analysis, use case discovery, and clear communication with business stakeholders and leadership.
• Knowledge of data governance, permission models and the European AI regulatory framework.
• Atlassian certifications in Jira or Confluence administration, and specific AI training.
• A portfolio of agents or automations running in production with measurable results.
• Experience with change management and technology adoption programmes.

Conditions

Permanent contract.

Hybrid work with one day per week in the office.

Monday to Friday schedule with flexible hours, shorter Fridays and a summer timetable.
