The company is hiring a senior agile delivery manager to build out its delivery capability and shape the best solutions for its clients. The role sits in the Application Development unit and covers a range of projects. The base is London or Leeds.
The company describes itself as a UK technology consultancy operating across public and private sectors, offering application development, cloud migration, programme delivery and service operations. It is a fast-growing firm with a stated aim to become a leading digital challenger in Europe.
Responsibilities
Own end-to-end delivery of complex digital services, so agreed outcomes land within scope, budget, timescale and quality targets.
Lead agile delivery day to day across one or more multidisciplinary teams, adjusting your approach to each context. Where needed, act as Scrum Master, running planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives and backlog refinement.
Clear blockers, manage dependencies and help teams keep improving how they work.
Work with Product Managers to turn product strategy and priorities into realistic delivery plans that weigh user needs, business goals and technical limits.
Lead teams spanning delivery, product, engineering, architecture, QA, business analysis, data and user-centred design. Build their capability and help each person grow.
Make sure user research, service design, interaction design and content design run through the whole delivery.
Guide services through the GDS delivery lifecycle (Discovery, Alpha, Beta and Live), keeping them aligned with the Government Service Standard and the Technology Code of Practice.
Plan and run GDS service assessments: readiness, evidence, team preparation, and acting on assessment recommendations.
Work hands-on in Jira and Confluence so backlogs, workflows, dashboards, documentation, decisions and reporting stay accurate and up to date.
Manage delivery in complex technology estates involving system integration, legacy platforms, cloud services and third-party suppliers.
Report candidly on progress, risks, dependencies, finances and outcomes to senior managers, clients and governance boards.
Build trust with clients, stakeholders, suppliers and team members. Challenge decisions constructively when delivery outcomes are at risk.
Share knowledge and coach or mentor less experienced colleagues within the wider delivery community.

Proven experience leading multidisciplinary digital teams that include product, engineering, QA, business analysis and user-centred design.
A clear grasp of how Delivery Managers and Product Managers divide accountability, and evidence of working well with them on priorities, roadmaps and outcomes.
Hands-on experience moving work through the GDS delivery lifecycle and applying the Government Service Standard.
Experience preparing teams and services for GDS assessments, responding to assessor feedback and carrying out recommendations.
Advanced, hands-on use of Jira and Confluence or similar tools, including backlog management, workflows, dashboards, reporting and documentation.
Strong grasp of the software delivery lifecycle from Discovery through Alpha, Beta and Live into ongoing improvement.
Experience with delivery planning, dependency management, risk and issue management, resource forecasting and governance reporting.
Experience running system integration work across several technologies, delivery teams and third-party suppliers.
A track record of clearing blockers, balancing competing priorities and setting teams up to deliver.
Strong facilitation, coaching and servant-leadership skills, with the ability to embed agile behaviours and drive improvement.
Strong stakeholder management and communication. You can build trust, explain complex delivery matters clearly and challenge senior stakeholders constructively.
