Description

The company is shifting toward being a digital business focused on services and new technology, and multimedia and software are growing, highly visible areas within it.

This is a purchasing role in the Purchasing job family, centred on the multimedia infotainment buying for IVI (In-Vehicle Infotainment) systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the IVI multimedia systems the company builds into its vehicles.
• Drive the development of the company's new multimedia system, bringing in its new technical direction, especially SDV (Software Defined Vehicle), and new ways of buying electronic components and software.
• Work closely with the GSFA leads and the engineering teams on this activity.
• Track component shortages and set up alternative solutions.
• Oversee contracts and manage suppliers on quality, lead time and economic performance.
• Help shape the purchasing strategy.
• Handle the upstream phases, sourcing and series life of your topics.
• Keep relations active with partner departments such as the Programme, Sales & Marketing and Engineering teams.
• Own the QCD commitments (quality, cost, delivery) for every topic you are responsible for.
• Take part in cost reduction efforts and in improving the department's processes.
