Test Infrastructure Engineer

Description

The company builds autonomous vehicles and needs test infrastructure to run manufacturing tests on them at its factory sites.

This role leads the design and build of core infrastructure and platform pieces, including databases, REST APIs, containers, CI/CD pipelines, and tester orchestration. You will work across manufacturing, hardware, and software teams.

Responsibilities

• Help build test frameworks that cover all factory testing at the company's manufacturing sites.
• Design and set up server infrastructure that manufacturing testing depends on.
• Build applications for manufacturing processes, along with shared code libraries for test engineers.
• Create dashboards for manufacturing data, such as throughput and tester utilization.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical or mechanical engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
• 6+ years of industry experience building software for on-prem or cloud infrastructure.
• Familiarity with manufacturing systems software such as MRP, MES, MQTT, SCADA, and IoT devices.
• Experience with cloud deployment and infrastructure tools such as Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS.
• Strong Python skills across scripting, web services, tool building, and test frameworks. You must have working knowledge of Pytest.
• Experience building dashboards and alerts that track infrastructure health.
• Working knowledge of git, CI/CD pipelines, reproducible builds, deployment strategies, and the infrastructure that supports them.
• Experience with Linux system administration and managing servers.
