Description

The company is a global provider of business payments and cash management software, with over 35 years in the field and more than $16 trillion in payments moved each year.

The team is looking for people who want to change how businesses pay and get paid, and who care about customer results and steady growth.

Responsibilities

  • Bring technical depth into the sales process and help customers see how the company's banking software fits their technology setup.
  • Work alongside Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Program Management and Implementation to learn customer needs, lead technical discussions, define solution architecture and integrations, and make the move from sale to implementation smooth.
  • Support deals across Digital Banking, Cash and Fraud Risk Management, and Financial Messaging. You will talk with people from CIOs and CTOs down to developers and application teams, so you need to go deep technically and still explain complex ideas simply.
  • A background in sales engineering is not required. Strong technical experience in solution architecture, implementation, software development or enterprise integration, plus an interest in customer work, can move you into a consultative, sales-focused role.
  • Act as the technical lead from qualification onward, helping shape the technical strategy for each deal.
  • Run technical discovery to uncover customer requirements, architecture, integrations and possible dependencies.
  • Speak with confidence to both technical and executive audiences, including developers, architects, technical application leads, CIOs and CTOs.
  • Turn technical material into clear information for technical and non-technical listeners alike.
  • Give technical presentations, architecture reviews, solution demos and other technical sessions as needed.
  • Spot technical risks, dependencies and implementation issues early in the sales cycle.
  • Support both prospects and existing customers.
  • Learn and explain the architecture of the Digital Banking, Cash and Fraud Risk Management, and Financial Messaging solutions.
  • Shape solution approaches that fit customer requirements and their current technology.
  • Lead discussions on integrations, infrastructure, configuration, interfaces and architecture.
  • Write and keep up architecture and integration documents that capture the proposed solution and its scope.
  • Work with Engineering, Product, Program Management and Implementation to confirm the solution is feasible and hand it cleanly into implementation.
  • Join sales deal teams across several opportunities.
  • Work with Product Management to build product knowledge and pass along customer insight.
  • Work with Engineering and Development to understand the architecture and what the technology can do.
  • Coordinate with Program Management and Implementation so integration needs carry through from sales to delivery.

Requirements

  • Experience in sales engineering, solution architecture, technical consulting, implementation, software development or another technical role involving customers or cross-functional teams.
  • A solid grasp of software architecture, enterprise applications and systems integration.
  • Ability to explain technical architecture, including infrastructure, databases, operating systems, interfaces and integrations.
  • Clear communication, with the skill to make complex technical ideas understandable to different audiences.
  • Comfort working with developers, architects, IT leaders and executives.
  • Ability to pick up new technologies, products and architectures quickly.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to handle several opportunities and priorities at once.
  • Preferred: experience in banking, fintech or financial services technology.
  • Preferred: experience with Digital Banking solutions, which is especially valued.
  • Preferred: exposure to fraud, risk management, payments or Financial Messaging solutions.
  • Preferred: experience working with banks and seeing how enterprise software fits into a bank's technology ecosystem.
  • Preferred: previous client-facing implementation, solution architecture or technical pre-sales work.
  • Preferred: working knowledge of AI in enterprise software and the ability to discuss AI concepts with customers.
