Description

The company is developing and delivering advanced defense systems on a fast schedule, and is building a team to turn early ideas into working capability.

This is an early-stage role with real ownership. Your work will have a visible effect on the company's direction and results, whatever your function.

As a Technical Recruiter for Manufacturing, you will help staff the teams that move next-generation defense systems from development into full-scale production. You will run full-cycle hiring across manufacturing, production, skilled trades and industrial operations, and help set up the teams needed for some of the most demanding manufacturing programs in the defense sector.

The work depends on proactive outreach, knowledge of local labor markets, and strong ties with skilled trades and industrial communities. You will work with manufacturing leaders to build pipelines, find strong candidates and fill the roles that support tight production timelines and facility growth.

You are resourceful and hands-on, and you can recruit at volume without lowering quality. You act decisively, move fast, and think in terms of building a workforce rather than just filling openings.

Responsibilities

  • Run full-cycle recruiting for manufacturing, production, skilled trades and industrial technical roles across the company's manufacturing operations.
  • Work with manufacturing leaders and hiring managers to define staffing needs, production schedules, hiring priorities and changing organizational needs.
  • Design and carry out proactive sourcing plans to reach experienced manufacturing workers in local and regional labor markets.
  • Build pipelines for manufacturing technicians, machinists, CNC operators, assemblers, welders, electricians, maintenance technicians, quality inspectors, manufacturing engineers and production supervisors.
  • Learn the local manufacturing talent market well, including competing employers, technical schools, trade programs and skilled labor groups.
  • Source beyond job boards through referrals, industry networks, trade organizations, technical schools and direct outreach.
  • Juggle multiple requisitions while keeping candidates informed, coordinating interviews and maintaining hiring pace.
  • Assess candidates on technical skill, hands-on experience, reliability, adaptability and fit with an execution-focused culture.
  • Set up efficient interview processes with hiring managers and make sure candidates get timely feedback and decisions.
  • Support hiring for new manufacturing facilities, production expansions and shifting workforce needs.
  • Track recruiting metrics, pipeline health, hiring speed and sourcing results to keep improving.
  • Give candidates a high-quality experience while balancing speed, consistency and hiring standards.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally in manufacturing, production, skilled trades, industrial operations or other technical settings.
  • A record of sourcing and hiring for hands-on manufacturing or production roles.
  • Experience filling several job families at once while managing competing priorities.
  • Strong sourcing skills, including LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, referrals and other alternative channels.
  • Ability to build relationships with manufacturing leaders, production managers, supervisors and technical stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing environments and the skills needed across production, assembly, machining, fabrication and industrial operations.
  • Clear communication, strong organization and good candidate management.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving setting where priorities and hiring needs can shift quickly.
  • A strong sense of ownership, urgency and accountability for hiring results.
  • Preferred: experience recruiting in aerospace, defense, automotive, industrial manufacturing, energetics or other advanced manufacturing.
  • Preferred: experience hiring for high-volume manufacturing or production organizations.
  • Preferred: familiarity with skilled trades such as CNC machining, welding, fabrication, electrical and mechanical assembly, and industrial maintenance.
  • Preferred: experience supporting greenfield facilities, production ramp-ups or large workforce expansions.
  • Preferred: established ties with local manufacturing talent communities, trade schools, technical programs or industry groups.
  • Preferred: experience recruiting across several geographic markets and supporting onsite manufacturing.
  • Preferred: experience with Greenhouse or another modern applicant tracking system.
  • Preferred: familiarity with manufacturing quality systems, safety requirements and regulated production environments.
