Description

The company supplies materials science and engineering equipment used to make virtually every new semiconductor chip and advanced display. Its equipment and services support AI and speed up the commercialization of next-generation chips.

This is an individual contributor role in the Common Solutions Group, which serves all business units. You act as a strategic facilitator with both strategic and execution duties across several product lines in a matrix setup. You coordinate a matrix team of New Product Manufacturing Engineers, Material Project Managers and NPI Operations staff to take new products from design maturity into high-volume manufacturing. The aim is to find and fix problems early so the product meets quality, functionality, time-to-market and cost targets.

Responsibilities

  • Set the program strategy, plan and schedule, then define and track milestones.
  • Break deliverables into tasks, assign owners, map dependencies, and spot and respond to changes and risks.
  • Align scope and requirements with stakeholders through a weekly or biweekly cross-functional cadence, executive reviews and decision logs, and push escalations to resolution.
  • Clear roadblocks and keep work on plan while adjusting to change.
  • Assess readiness to move into high-volume manufacturing, manage the handover of responsibilities, and forecast capacity to fit the manufacturing strategy.
  • Capture lessons learned and turn them into improvements to business processes.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on program or project management experience leading cross-functional business and technical teams.
  • A track record leading complex hardware and software products from design through transfer to high-volume manufacturing.
  • Experience working across time zones and functions around the world, and managing several complex programs at once in a fast, high-impact setting.
  • A professional PM certification, which you must hold at hire or earn within 12 months of joining.
  • Ability to build integrated plans, set milestones, manage dependencies and deliver to commitments.
  • Skill in finding ways to improve business operations and core processes.
  • Technical leadership in structured problem-solving across sub-systems, including root-cause analysis and ranking solutions by priority. Proactive identification, communication and mitigation of risks, and change management that keeps scope, schedule and quality aligned. Balance agility with suitable process rigor.
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach that treats problems as chances to improve the product and process. High emotional intelligence, a people-first style, and the ability to build engagement in a matrixed team.
  • Clear, confident communication at every level, with the presence to influence executives.
  • Critical skills: capacity for complexity, agility, requirements gathering, critical thinking, stakeholder and change management, risk management, and excellent communication.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred; relevant experience may be substituted.
  • Additional skills: systems thinking, organizational change management, business process management, Lean, resource and capacity planning, waterfall and agile project management, comfort with ambiguity, and influencing without direct authority.
