The company is the team behind the PlayStation brand, a subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation. It builds hardware and network services used by more than 100 million people and owns well-known entertainment intellectual property. The role focuses on creating and growing experiences under the PlayStation name.
This senior role shapes the technical direction for moving employee technology support from responding to problems after they happen toward spotting them early, safe automated repair, and more useful help for staff. It turns service needs into cross-platform architecture, reusable patterns, and clear implementation guidance. You will work with engineering, operations, platform, security, and architecture colleagues, making tradeoffs visible so teams can run and improve what they deliver.
Responsibilities
Lead technical discovery on complex, cross-platform employee technology work. Define target architectures, integration patterns, and implementation options.
Map the path from service and endpoint signals through detection, diagnosis, approved fixes, escalation, and recording outcomes.
Set reusable standards for APIs, identity, data handling, observability, testing, rollback, and ownership of automation.
Compare build and buy options, and emerging AI capabilities, against employee value, feasibility, security, and supportability.
Define how ServiceNow, Moveworks, Jira, Slack, Nexthink, Jamf, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Graph, and related services share signals, context, actions, and outcomes where they are in scope.
Create reference patterns for API integration, event handling, identity and access, data minimisation, workflow orchestration, and reuse across employee technology services.
Work with platform owners to align designs with enterprise architecture, security, privacy, and operational standards. Identify dependencies and ownership before delivery begins.
Design solutions that combine endpoint telemetry, service history, and employee context. Do not assume a single signal proves a problem, or that automation should always act.
Build a set of use cases covering proactive detection, guided self-service, assisted support, and controlled self-healing, with criteria for choosing the right response.
Define safeguards for AI-assisted workflows: source quality, evaluation, human review where needed, auditability, and routes for uncertain or failed outcomes.
Agree measurement approaches with service owners that separate automation execution, resolution, employee impact, and any verified drop in support demand.
Run focused proofs of concept on new technology and recommend whether to adopt, improve, or defer it.
Design or review advanced Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, and API-based components where architectural risk or reuse justifies your direct involvement.
Set expectations for code quality, version control, testing, performance, resilience, and documentation across automation solutions.
Review high-impact designs and resolve architectural tradeoffs with platform owners, security partners, and delivery teams.
Provide reference designs, decision records, and guidance that engineering teams can apply during delivery.
Prototype selected high-risk elements to test feasibility, and guide production build of critical integrations.
Mentor engineers and contribute technical input to the employee technology roadmap.
Requirements
Required: significant experience designing and delivering enterprise integrations or automation across several teams and platforms.
Required: a track record of sound architecture decisions, guiding solutions from concept through to production operation.
Required: strong knowledge of APIs, scripting or software engineering, security controls, reliability, and operational design.
Required: the ability to explain technical tradeoffs and work well with engineering, operations, platform, and business stakeholders.
Required: a degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
Required: experience developing reference architectures and guiding multi-platform engineering without formal line management authority.
Required: the ability to assess AI-enabled automation for safety, quality, maintainability, and measurable service value.
Preferred: experience with digital workplace and service platforms such as ServiceNow, Nexthink, Moveworks, Jamf, Intune, Microsoft 365, Jira, or Slack.
Preferred: experience with AI-assisted service workflows, cloud services, and enterprise architecture methods.
Conditions
Background checks are carried out at the offer stage for all new employees, and for some roles may include criminal background checks. This requires processing of personal information.
