Description

The company is building its next-generation identity security platform for the multi-cloud era, and this Staff Site Reliability Engineer role leads critical infrastructure work across the organization.

You will work with engineers who have previously helped build companies such as Google, Okta, AWS, and Snowflake, and you will independently handle complex technical problems that have unclear scope.

Responsibilities

  • Lead reliability and infrastructure projects that span several teams, with a high degree of independence.
  • Design and roll out scalable solutions for Cloud Prem and SaaS customers.
  • Set SRE practices across the organization and push forward new technical approaches.
  • Handle critical incidents, run root cause analysis, and put lasting fixes in place.
  • Build automation that cuts manual operational work.
  • Take part in the on-call rotation and keep incident handoffs and records clear.
  • Work with Engineering, Product, and Customer Success to align reliability targets with business goals.
  • Explain complex technical topics to both technical people and executives.
  • Shape technical decisions across teams and get new tools, processes, and patterns adopted.
  • Provide tier 2 and tier 3 support for complex enterprise customer issues.
  • Work hands-on with customer technical teams on deployment, configuration, and integration problems.
  • Onboard customers technically and advise them on platform architecture and best practices.
  • Write customer-facing documentation, troubleshooting guides, and runbooks.
  • Join customer calls and technical discussions as a trusted advisor.
  • Mentor SRE and engineering colleagues to grow their skills.
  • Encourage a team culture built around reliability, operational excellence, and ongoing improvement.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering.
  • A record of leading large cross-team infrastructure projects from start to production.
  • A demonstrated ability to work independently on unclear projects with short deadlines.
  • 5+ years with AWS (VPC, EC2, RDS, EKS, CloudFormation) and cloud automation.
  • Expert-level skill with Kubernetes, Helm, Linux, and Terraform.
  • Solid experience with GitOps, distributed version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Working knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and DataDog.
  • Strong scripting and programming skills in Python, Go, and Bash for automation.
  • A deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and reliability patterns.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major compliance framework (SOC 1/2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP Moderate/High) through a full audit cycle.
  • Bonus: experience with Bazel and CueLang is a plus.
  • The ability to explain complex technical ideas clearly to varied audiences.
  • A history of driving technical change across organizational boundaries.
  • A record of delivering several complex projects under short deadlines.
  • Patience, empathy, and a strong customer service mindset.
  • Comfort working in ambiguous settings and moving forward without complete information.
  • A hands-on, can-do attitude with a bias toward action.
  • Low ego, high curiosity, and a strong sense of ownership.
  • Comfort working across time zones.
