Description

The company is a community platform made of many interest-based communities, with over 100,000 active communities and about 130 million daily active unique visitors.

The team is hiring a Staff Operations Program Manager (IC5) to set strategy for and run the company's central data labeling function. This is a new build-out role, so you will help define how the function works from the start.

The central labeling engine supports models, taxonomies and product experiments for both the Ads and Consumer Product organizations, and it needs high-quality, continuous annotation.

You will work with product and technical teams at every level to set requirements and decide how to deliver them through the central function.

You will turn complex, unstructured product needs into clear, scalable labeling directives that outside vendor teams can carry out. You will also help the vendor partners scale and improve their delivery model.

You will work with cross-functional leaders to shape the future of automated, LLM-based labeling and make sure the company uses current technology and operational efficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow the intake process for requests from Consumer and Ads. Make sure delivery frameworks are reliable and that work is prioritized by agreed criteria and business impact.
  • Lead the growth of the central labeling function and design the operational roadmap for LLM-assisted labeling that supports human vendors and increases throughput.
  • Standardize taxonomy definition guidelines and run complex labeling projects that span multiple quarters, supporting Consumer product experiments and Ads safety systems.
  • Work with Product Managers, Data Scientists and Ops Leaders across organizations to match labeling capabilities to business goals, turning high-level concepts into tasks that people or machines can carry out.
  • Work with the Vendor Manager to hand off clear task guidelines, resolve hard edge cases and set up feedback loops so task results match product expectations.
  • Build and document standard intake models, SLA frameworks, quality assurance practices and throughput metrics for all labeling domains.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in data operations, program management or vendor operations, with a strong focus on data labeling, model training data or taxonomy infrastructure.
  • Track record of aligning Product and Engineering leaders, holding firm boundaries and enforcing structured prioritization.
  • Strong skill at turning vague product requirements into detailed, unambiguous labeling instructions, edge-case trees and taxonomy schemas.
  • Experience using LLMs, synthetic data generation or automated tools to support vendor annotation and grow operational capacity.
  • Experience working with internal Vendor Operations or Vendor Managers to turn project needs into executable guidelines and handle task-level escalations.
  • Nice to have: experience working across both Ads/Monetization and Consumer-facing product organizations.
  • Nice to have: strong SQL and data manipulation skills to analyze vendor quality, pipeline throughput and project SLA completion on your own.

Conditions
