Description

The company is a sports technology firm working at the meeting point of sports, media and betting, serving more than 1,700 sports federations, media outlets, betting operators and consumer platforms in 120 countries.

The Automated Content team builds computer vision products that turn sports video into data, automating the content and data that feed the company's partner products, from automated viewing experiences to real-time statistics and event forecasting.

The team is distributed and works on player and ball tracking, segmentation, re-identification, 3D localization and event detection, among other problems.

The role is a Staff level position on the Computer Vision (CV) Team, which combines remote and headquarters-based experts.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, implement, compare, integrate and optimize state-of-the-art CV and ML algorithms for current and upcoming products.

  • Use CV and ML to automate and simplify the daily work of manual operators.
  • Keep up with recent CV methods and apply the ones that fit.
  • Write clean, scalable, optimized, documented and readable code, and build reusable libraries where needed.
  • Take part in code reviews where your expertise applies.
  • Share knowledge with colleagues spread across several European countries.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of professional experience in computer vision and machine learning, such as multi-object tracking, segmentation, event detection, 3D estimation, projective geometry, classical image processing and model evaluation.
  • 5+ years of experience developing or using deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Expert Python skills, including its data science libraries, plus working knowledge of software engineering basics such as design patterns and SOLID.
  • Experience working in AWS.
  • Strong written and spoken English, with the ability to explain complex technical ideas clearly.
  • Comfortable with modern development practices and tools, including Agile, Git, code review and AI-assisted development tools.
  • Self-directed and rigorous, with a team-player mindset and a positive attitude.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • A creative, innovation-minded approach.
