SRE Systems Engineer (TS/SCI Clearance)

Description

The team is a Site Reliability Engineering group that works with infrastructure and research and development partners to keep the company's cloud services available to customers around the clock.

The company builds an AI CRM where people and agents work together on customer success. The role centres on resilient systems that millions of customers rely on every day.

Candidates may apply for no more than 3 roles within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Watch customer-facing services and respond to top-priority incidents (Severity 0 and 1), leading technical reviews and helping with root cause analyses.
• Build automation that detects and fixes recurring production problems, reducing repetitive manual work.
• Help with compliance, resiliency and self-healing work, including destructive testing and resiliency drills.
• Mentor teammates, keep up with industry technology and help grow the team's skills.

Requirements

• Experience in enterprise-scale internet service engineering or support, working at the command line on Unix variants such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Experience with TCP/IP networking technologies and protocols.
• Experience managing incidents in a 24/7 environment.
• Experience writing scripts in Python, Go or similar languages, and provisioning and operating Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure.
• Even better if you have a solid understanding of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) service operations.
• Even better if you have experience with configuration management tools such as Chef or Puppet, and pipeline tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo or Spinnaker.
• Even better if you have hands-on experience supporting and managing Kubernetes-based applications and services.
• Even better if you hold Linux+, Red Hat or AWS certifications.
• Even better if you know Agile processes and DevOps practices.

Conditions

Based in Herndon, VA, with an onsite work arrangement available.

Candidates must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Candidates must be U.S. citizens (born or naturalized in the U.S.) with no dual citizenship, and must agree to complete a U.S. federal Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) for a Moderate Public Trust position.

The position requires USA TS/SCI with Polygraph security access.
