The analyst builds and maintains analysis tools that the team and the customer use to judge how missile defense and SDA systems perform.

The work involves large, intricate simulations and real-world data on ballistic missile threats, weapons, and C2 architectures.

You will work alone or in a small group in a fast-changing setting.

  • Or a master's degree in a related field plus 6 years of relevant work experience.
  • Or 12 years of relevant work experience, which may be considered in place of a degree.
  • A current, active, government-issued Top Secret clearance in scope at the time you apply. It must allow you to start and be eligible to be read onto SCI.
  • Experience building analysis tools with object-oriented programming in Python, MATLAB, or a similar language.
  • Experience assessing and characterizing complex simulations of ballistic missile threats, weapon systems, and C2 architectures.
  • Hands-on use of MATLAB or Python to analyze complex data sets.
  • Working or theoretical knowledge of ballistic or non-ballistic missile defense concepts, including BM/C2 systems, defense communication systems, and the Missile Defense System (MDS).
  • Basic Linux skills, including command-line use, scripting, and running tools.
  • Experience working with a cross-functional product team alongside engineering, software, test, and mission stakeholders.
  • Preferred: experience collecting, analyzing, and filtering large datasets to find trends, patterns, and useful insights.
  • Preferred: experience generating realistic scenarios to support analysis and testing of missile defense systems.
  • Preferred: experience with Git for version control.
  • Preferred: experience with Jenkins for build and integration pipelines.
  • Preferred: experience with Jira for Agile tracking and backlog management.
  • Preferred: experience writing scripts, such as Python or shell, to automate data processing, analysis, or tool workflows.
  • Preferred: experience developing and integrating software for analysis or mission applications.
  • Preferred and highly desired: specific knowledge of one or more MDS elements, such as C2BMC, AN/TPY-2, LRDR, BOA, SBIRS, or GMB, or of other missile defense or space domain systems.
