Software Engineering Manager, Platform

Description

You will lead the identity and access management (IAM) team in the cloud platform organization. The team is modernizing IAM systems against a demanding roadmap and is distributed across locations.

The role suits someone who wants to shape critical systems while building a collaborative, inventive team.

Responsibilities

• Grow a collaborative, inventive team culture and coach engineers to build their technical skills.
• Set clear performance expectations, watch team dynamics and hold regular meetings to align on goals and share updates.
• Create project plans and timelines for IAM initiatives, assign resources, track progress and adjust as needed.
• Report status to stakeholders, anticipate risks and resolve problems as they come up.
• Assess emerging technologies and adopt those that strengthen IAM capabilities.
• Tie technical strategy to business objectives and lead technical discussions and decisions within the team.
• Gather requirements and input from key stakeholders for IAM projects.
• Build strong working relationships with internal teams so IAM solutions integrate smoothly, and gather feedback on progress and deliverables.
• Run regular performance reviews, give constructive feedback and coaching, and recognize notable achievements.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of experience in identity and access management.
• Experience with cloud-based technologies and architectures.
• Experience with IAM solutions and frameworks.
• Proficiency in software development methodologies.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices.

Conditions

This role pays a base salary only, with no variable compensation.

The typical starting salary range is €61,100 to €96,600 EUR. The final offer within that range depends on relevant experience, skills and expertise, fit with the role requirements, and the scope and complexity of the position.

Salary ranges are set from external market benchmarks, internal pay equity and the responsibilities of each role.
