Description

The company builds GPU products for automotive, gaming, deep learning and high-performance computing customers.

The developer tools team makes software for debugging, profiling and analyzing GPU-accelerated applications, working across the stack from user workflows and GUI design down to driver code and GPU registers and microcode.

This is a 2027 internship on the developer tools software engineering team, helping build software that lets GPU application developers work on graphics, compute and deep learning applications.

The team is looking for a software developer who wants to improve performance tuning and debugging for GPUs on the company's platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Build the Compute Sanitizer, a suite of memory checkers, for GPUs on Linux, Windows and embedded operating systems.
  • Help design, implement and verify features and components in the developer tools product portfolio, working with the developer tools, driver and architecture teams.
  • Create user workflows and user interface solutions for the product's users.
  • Add new features to GPU profiling and debugging libraries so customers can get the best performance from their applications.
  • Help validate and bring up hardware for developer tools features used by compute-sanitizer.

Requirements

  • Be pursuing a B.S. in EE or CS, an MS, or a PhD.
  • Be passionate about GPUs, compute, and how complex systems work.
  • Care about quality and deliver results.
  • Program well in C and C++.
  • Understand computer architecture, such as x86, ARM CPUs and GPUs.

Conditions

Experience in device drivers, real-time systems, game console middleware or other low-level library development is listed as a requirement.

Equal-opportunity statement: the company welcomes candidates from all backgrounds.
