Description

The company runs an AI platform for storytelling and visual creation, used by millions of creators around the world.

It is building creative tools on AI that let people make videos, images, characters, and stories quickly.

The engineering team is hiring engineers to turn fast-moving market trends into products people want.

Responsibilities

  • Help build and refine the agent product and other core products.
  • Shape the model arena, designing clear ways to find, compare, and rate generative AI models.
  • Work with product, design, and go-to-market staff to turn new market trends into strong product features.
  • Test image and video generation models for quality, range, reliability, and practical use.
  • Prototype and launch projects quickly, driven by new models, technologies, creative formats, and changing user habits.
  • Build polished, production-grade frontends in React and Next.js, owning them end to end.
  • Use product data and user feedback to decide what to improve, expand, or drop.
  • Balance speed, correctness, and scale in practical ways, and explain those choices clearly.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of full-stack experience shipping production software.
  • Solid React and Next.js skills, enough to deliver polished product work end to end.
  • Past work integrating AI models or APIs into products that real users rely on.
  • Good product judgment, so you can spot what is useful and worth building without a detailed spec.
  • Ability to go from a vague idea to a working prototype, then to dependable production code.
  • Real interest in generative AI, creative tools, and the fast-changing image and video model space.
  • Daily use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor, with informed views on what makes them effective.
  • Clear communication about what you built, why it matters, and the trade-offs behind your choices.
  • Hands-on experience with image or video generation models.
  • Experience designing or running model evaluations, benchmarks, or comparison systems.
  • Experience building AI creative products, agent experiences, or consumer applications.
  • Familiarity with product analytics, experimentation, or growth-focused product work.
  • Strong visual and interaction design sense.
  • Startup experience or taking a product from zero to one. Side projects count.

Conditions

Total compensation of $400-$500k+, covering base salary, bonus, and equity.

Meaningful equity in what you build.

High autonomy in a fast-growing environment.

Based in San Carlos, CA, with hybrid options available.

Visa sponsorship is available.

Benefits

  • Work at the leading edge of a fast-moving market, turning new models, creative formats, and user behavior shifts into products while the opportunity is still new.
  • Small team with a wide scope: engineers own products and experiments from spotting an opportunity to shipping it to users.
  • Your work reaches millions of creators, so you get quick feedback on what works.
  • Both founders are technical and deeply involved in product and engineering.
  • You work directly with the latest image, video, and language models and help decide how they become useful creative experiences.
  • High ownership and little process. The team values product judgment, clarity, and speed over bureaucracy.
